ibis Porto Gaia Hotel 2 stars

The breakfast bar is awesome. Good night's sleep as usual on the ibis beds. The staff are very friendly and professional. They helped me find my way around town. Location is pretty good too.

short stay. not my first time. Calm area with free parking. Typical Ibis rooms. I like them.

I use the hotel often and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The location suites my needs and the price is reasonable for a comfortable room. The menu is starting to improve if you need a hassle free meal without the bother of going out. Breakfast is always nice with a reasonable choice. The longer term staff seem to recognise me and Manuel in the bar is always chatty (in English thankfully)

Location was ok but uber/taxi charges were cheap to get around. Their breakfast for 7.50 euro was great value. An array of breakfast items. Coffee was great. The Staff were attentive and very professional. We recommend this hotel to travellers looking for a value for money accommodation

Excellent, comfortable, superb breakfast, ideal situation

Hotel exceeded our expectations: modern room, very comfortable, excellent bed. Perfect night of sleep. Location wise the hotel is very close to Arrabida Bridge, connection with Porto. Nevertheless, a car is necessary. Parking is free, which was great.

Tiny room. Couldn’t fit 2 adults and their suitcases in the room and have any room left to move around. We turned around and left. They refunded our payment for 5 nights and we booked another hotel - the Axis Hotel. It was much nicer, more money but worth it.

The Ibis hotel is refurbished and located adjacent to a Novotel high on the hills of Gaia on the opposite of the river Douro. In fact there is a great view from just outside the hotel looking towards the esturary and the ocean. Bus stops to Porto centre are within a 100m but we used taxis which are cheap and efficient with 7 -10€ from the hotel to the centre. There is a great walk from the hotel downhill to Furada and along the river to the popular area of cafes in the centre of Porto / Gaia. Generally food is interesting and cheap and the Port wine lodges are not to be missed. Food OK in the hotel but do not expect restaurant quality, but at 12.5€ for two courses and wine available 24hr a day, what can you expect? better food in the Novotel adjacent. Taxi to airport about 20€. Highly recommended location.

Ibis hotel with good facilities, within expectations, with good access for those traveling by car, precarious for those using public transport. Clean and well maintained. quick check in and check out with efficient attendants

I regularly use the hotel for business and always find it friendly and good value. The location is quiet but has lovely views and is well located for taxi and bus connections. The walks from the hotel to either Gaia or the local fishing village of Afurada are easy and then many local restaurants are in easy reach.
