While the staff was well mannered and pleasant, our room was not to a 5 Star standard. The fire alarm was triggered at 5 am the morning of March 31 at there was no communication from staff at all ! 2 fire sprinklers in the ceiling of the 4 bedroom Sky Villa were not in the ceiling properly. There was dried paint along the stairs in the room, dripped paint on the baseboards, the terrace had some trash that was there we were arrived. The wall leading up tje steps was cracked with huge places were the plaster was rough and bumpy. A floor lamp next to the dining room table had its cord wrapped with black tape ( not safe). Plaster from the ceiling fell onto the floor and in my hair. I had to ring the front desk to retrieve the plates, bowls and silverware from the room service we ordered and I washed all of it, upon checkout all of it was still there by the door. Taxis refused to drop us at the door multiple times due to the fear that the ongoing construction from across the street would damage their tires. The hotel did not offer any courtesy shuttle to or from the airport. We had to request multiple times towels, bathrobe etc. There were no plates or cutlery in the kitchen. The paper towel roller on the downstairs toilet was broken and not fixed, request for toilet paper was not fulfilled. The dryer did not work and we were inquired about this they agreed and a large drying rack was sent up for us to use. It was definitely not a 5 Star experience. Unfortunately, we did not find another 4 bedroom or we would have left the property. We were very disheartened to have been allocated the Sky Villa with those obvious issues that should have been recified a long time ago. I don't think Movenpick should have the 5 Star.

There was 1 shower broken, some of the shower gels were diluted with water. The heating in 1 bedroom couldn't be turned off, even if the power on/off button was working... You can clean better the bed linens and towels.

Good service; the staff is very attentive and kind. Minus points for climate control: a windy room due to bad closing windows and doors. No possibility to adjust the heating yourself in the room. When turned on (by the staff with central heating) it becomes too hot! Some windows and doors don't open at all (they can't find the key or broken system). Last tip: please change the music in the restaurant sometimes.

Not clean (I have pics of hair on bed, sofa and towels) Room smell of smoke Tried to note details of my credit card (expiry number and cv) Tried to scam me in conversion rate (quoted me 496 eur then quickly adjusted to the 482 I calculated. The welcome snacks looked like half eaten. I didn't thouch it and the cleaners left it to rot. I asked them to take away but they refused. I had to take it to reception myself I didn't get room upgrade as gold member They charged me for the deposit instead of making reservation. Told me it can take two months to reimburse Bed of 150cm is not king size as in room description Room does not have cutlery, pans, etc as in room description
