Excellent location, lots of restaurants, shops and mini supermarkets close by. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was not the best at the hotel so decided to have breakfast outside the hotel and had breakfast delivered from an online delivery service similar to uber eats - That was excellent and fresh. My room was small but satisfactory in size. However one problem was the window was too small so quite dark and I had to leave the lights on during the day. This made it feel a bit stuffy so I opened it during the night and that was better for sleeping for me. The cleanliness was excellent and bed was comfortable. Overall very good value for money.

Our experience at this hotel has been exceptional from the moment we arrived until the day we transferred from our original room to another room one floor above. Throughout both stays, the level of service, comfort, and hospitality remained outstanding. From the warm welcome at check-in to the consistent care and attention we received every day, every member of the team made us feel valued and at home. This was our first time visiting Turkey, and being in a new country for an extended period could have been overwhelming. However, thanks to the kindness and professionalism of the hotel staff, our stay was comfortable, stress-free, and truly memorable. We would especially like to recognize our wonderful housekeeper, Necibe, who took exceptional care of our room every day. She ensured everything was spotless, fresh, and well organized, creating a welcoming environment that we looked forward to returning to after long days. Her attention to detail, dedication, and warm smile never went unnoticed, and we are sincerely grateful for the care she put into her work. We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the amazing front desk team—Berk, Mustafa, Ilayda, and Ezgi. They consistently went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Since this was our first visit to Turkey, we often had questions about transportation, restaurants, shopping areas, local attractions, and navigating the city. No matter how busy they were, they always took the time to answer our questions patiently, provide clear directions, and recommend wonderful places to visit. Their local knowledge was incredibly helpful and made exploring Istanbul much easier and more enjoyable. What stood out most was their genuine kindness and willingness to help. Every interaction was greeted with a smile, professionalism, and a sincere desire to ensure we had everything we needed. Whether it was arranging transportation, helping us communicate with local services, or simply making us feel comfortable, they exceeded our expectations in every way. Our stay in Turkey was especially important because we were here for a medical evaluation, surgery, and treatment at Acibadem International Hospital. This was an emotional and stressful time for our family, and returning each day to a clean, peaceful room while being welcomed by such caring staff made a significant difference. The compassion, understanding, and support shown by the hotel team provided us with comfort during a very challenging period, and for that we will always be grateful. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, quiet, and very well maintained. The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, and all the amenities we needed were readily available. The location was also excellent, with convenient access to transportation, restaurants, shopping, and nearby services, making it easy for us to travel to and from the hospital while also exploring the city whenever we had the opportunity. It is the people who truly make this hotel special. The outstanding service provided by Necibe, Berk, Mustafa, Ilayda, Ezgi, and the rest of the staff transformed what could have been just another hotel stay into an experience we will always remember. Their hospitality, professionalism, compassion, and genuine care made us feel like family rather than guests. We cannot thank everyone enough for making our first visit to Turkey such a positive and memorable one. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul, whether for business, medical treatment, or leisure. Food was delivered to my room cold on 2 occasions that was after waiting 45 mins, the breakfast in restaurant was very poor and very limited options for English people ! Never any staff around ,was allways stood waiting to be served , if the hotel hadn’t come as a package deal through a third party I would of never of stayed , would never use again or recommend plus the room is very outdated the big mirror even fell of the wall infront of a memeber of staff while bringing the very cold room service, and he just stood there and let my partner put it back on the wall and didn’t even attempt to get it fixed , it could of been a very serious accident ,and injury and could hurt someone in future !! Was relived to leave which is unexceptable

This was the cheapest hotel I could find in Istanbul, but Mercure was a very pleasant surprise. The staff (Ezgi and Hayda in particular) was very helpful. My initial room had poor WiFi connection, so Ezgi moved me to a nice larger room. All the amenities in the room were great. Though not in the main tourist center, Bakirkoy is well connected to all the tourist sites by public transportation. Get used to the B1 Marmaray line, which is excellent. The Bakirkoy station is more accessible than the Yeminihalle station. There are plenty of restaurants to try on the streets nearby. These are half as expensive as those in the old city. I recommend Mezekoy for great vegetarian options. Onur, the supermarket next door, has everything that you could possibly need. The Alpak Dry Cleaning is a good choice (but much more expensive than laundromats) for regular laundry. There are many pastry shops on this street that are worth checking out, especially the knafe & borek shop opposite Onur. For all these reasons, this will be my hotel in all future trips to Istanbul.

The location was good, but it is little far from Public Transports. Hotel has very basic aminities, more was expected from a 4 star facilities. like shower cap, swabs and other bathroom supplies. Staff is neither friendly nor rude. Overall experience was OK.
