I arrived at the hotel at the designated check-in time with a confirmed reservation, only to be told that my room was not ready and that I would have to wait, with no explanation of how long the wait would be and no alternative solution offered. There was no apology from the staff, no initiative to ease the inconvenience, and no clear timeframe provided. A confirmed booking should guarantee that the room is ready upon arrival that is the most basic expectation any guest would have, and unfortunately this hotel failed to meet it. I would expect a hotel of this standard to have proper coordination between departments to ensure a smooth check-in experience, as the first impression sets the tone for the entire stay, and in this case, that impression was disappointing.
