Lifts are very bad. Did complain about it. Was injured quite badly due to door closing strongly immediately after the first person enters. Another lift always stopped a step above the floor. Tripped a few times. Was not recognized as an Accor gold member. And finally was almost kicked out of the room for checking out a few minutes later than the agreed time. Pathetic

This was our second stay at the hotel, this time as a family for Umrah with my elderly parents, and overall the experience was excellent. The location right in front of the Haram is unbeatable, and the service throughout the hotel was warm, attentive and professional. My one real disappointment was the room allocation. Before arrival I emailed the hotel as an ALL Gold member asking for our two rooms to be adjacent on the same floor, so I could stay close to my parents. Guest Relations replied promptly and confirmed the requests were noted, but at check-in the rooms we were given were not next to each other. I also asked at reception about upgrading to a family Kaaba-view suite, so my parents could have the ultimate experience on this trip. I was told no Kaaba-view suite was available, although the same category appeared to be bookable on the website at the time. I understand upgrades are never guaranteed, but the mismatch was confusing and left me feeling that my Gold status and advance requests did not carry much weight. Everything else was truly excellent. I would simply hope that requests confirmed in advance, especially for guests travelling with elderly parents, are reflected at check-in.

My stay was perfect from check in until check out.I would like to thank Ms. Sa'ada from Guest Relations for upgrading my room to one with a beautiful view of the Holy Kaaba,my thanks also to Mr. Almaliki;when I requested to chang my room offering a room with a lovely view of Al Haram. My special thanks to Mr Riyadh restaurant manager,Mr Ashraf assistance manager,Mr Talal,Mr Afraz,Mr Azzam,Mr Adel & Mr Musa in egg station,Ms Saja, Ms Saforah,Ms Hind thanking them and all team for meeting my special requests. Al Dira breakfast restaurant floor 29 has a lot of varieties. Fairmont Makkah has a lounge serving light meals from 4-6 PM; thanking Mr AbdulQadir lounge supervisor,thanks also to Ms Raheema,Ms Roumaisah and all team. I would like to thank all housekeepers in floor 8; Mr Mubashir, Mr Waheed,and their supervisor Mr Zubaor; always on time my room very clean with full amenities. The reception team and every member of staff were extremely kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. The hospitality was truly on another level, and the customer service was exceptional. The location was excellent, with very easy access to everything we needed. The breakfast and dinner were also fantastic, with a great selection and very good quality food. There were only two things that I felt could be improved. Firstly, unfortunately, we could sometimes smell cigarette smoke from other rooms, which was noticeable in our room. Secondly, the rooms could be better maintained, as the overall condition and quality of some areas did not quite match the excellent level of service. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and were particularly impressed by the staff, hospitality, location, and food.

I had a mixed experience during my recent stay. Upon arrival, I was initially given a room that was significantly smaller and did not match the room category I had booked. As an Accor member, I expected a much smoother check-in process and better attention to detail regarding room allocations. I had to address the issue with the front desk to get it resolved, eventually transitioning from a 42 sqm room to the correct 46 sqm room. However, having to deal with this inconvenience upon arrival made the first two nights quite frustrating and far below the standard I expected. While the situation was eventually sorted out, the initial handling of the booking and the stress of the first couple of days left me quite unsatisfied. I hope management pays closer attention to booking details and guest loyalty status moving forward.
