I booked the Fairmont gold kabah view. I was expecting the welcome kahwah with fruits before we entered the room as a surprise treat for my family. But the gentlemen came afterwards. They did not set up our extra beds until we had to call them twice while waiting in exhaustion post umrah. The receptionist gave a quick tour about the floors to access but I wish they handed out a paper map to look back on so we can find out the direction of the haram elevator from our floor. The snacks area is divided into two floor. Food on the upper level and only tea and coffee on the bottom. So one person cannot enjoy snacks with tea as most cultures do. You have to drink your tea in a different floor and then proceed to eat. Very hard to navigate with families and children. Please at least provide tea/coffee on both floors of the Fairmont Gold reception. Thank you!

Unfortunately I was expected higher level Check in employee wasn’t aware of hotel facilities availability according to which suits and room Also there is no welcoming food at drink in the suite as any other hotels when I asked them they bring for me Laundry service the butler didn’t answer my questions didn’t know he said call tomorrow morning when the laundry open Other than the location I feel disappointed with the amount of money a paid for 2 nights

Very disappointed with the check-in experience. I requested both rooms on the same floor, which I had already discussed with Guest Relations Anfal. Unfortunately, the request was dismissed without any effort, and the way the supervisor Manar handled the situation was particularly disappointing and rude. As a Gold member and previously a Platinum member, I expected much better service and consideration.

We felt so welcome at this hotel. Coming from the United States we are accustom to amenities. This place did not disappoint. We found the staff to be very welcoming and always ready to help. We decided to book a room with a view of the Ka'aba - wow. It helped for us to get the most out of our very short trip for Umrah. We could pray, faxing at the Ka'aba from our actual room. Alhumdulilah. It was very close to the entrance of the mosque. However, I do have to say that the elevator system felt quite complicated. We were only there for one day so we didn't have time to learn it properly. We had gotten lost going back to our room for two hours. Inshallah that isn't a typical experience.

Overall, my experience at the Vermont Hotel was excellent. The only issue I had was during breakfast. One of the staff members seemed to ignore me, which made me feel a little upset.
