first day after check in our bags took 1 hour and half to be delivered to the room and i needed to go to do my Umrah. and no one followed up we called the service desk more that 5 times and they kept saying its on the way while the bags are down and no one get them, when we went to the reception the manager there she knew what happend to us and went with us and support until she made sure that we received our bags (Duty manager Amal big thanks to her) also she managed to change our futoor to suhoor and we requested this while we checked in but unfortunately the receptionist didn't get back to us with this request and Amal duty manager she fulfilled this request. other days service we were not satisfied as we leave the room after Asir prayer and we come back after traweeh prayer, 2nd day our gahwa dallah from first day was still there, towels and floor mat was removed not replaced and we should receive every day a complementary coffee we only received once in our check in and we told the receptionist that deliver it for us every day after traweeh prayer, when Amal knew about the service after my complain she sends everyday a complimentary sweets and i would like to thank her on everything she did it to us in our stay just to keep us calm and satisfied for my first time to stay in Fairmont gold i would only come back for location but not service

It is disappointing to see that every year more facilities are being restricted under the justification that they are reserved for Gold members. Fo example The prayer area( Kaaba view) should not be restricted in this way. A prayer space should remain accessible to all guests, especially considering that it was previously open to everyone. Restricting access to a place of worship is both surprising and difficult to understand. On a positive note, housekeeping and room cleaning services are very efficient and the quality is excellent. However, the main reason for my low rating is the complete lack of value or recognition for loyalty program members, whether Gold or higher. There was no priority or distinction at check-in, even though I had already completed online check-in and finalized payment before arriving. Additionally, one of my guests was denied access to the Iftar buffet during my absence because that breakfast was only for two people. Unfortunately, no one attempted to contact me to verify the situation before making that decision.

Access to and out of hotel was easy. The hotel merged between luxury and spiritually. The Kaaba view was wonderful. The food was delicious and the service is impeccable as expected.

Our stay at the Fairmont Makkah provided a unique look into one of the most iconic properties in the Clock Tower, though the experience was a blend of highs and lows. Despite my Accor Gold status, we did not receive a room upgrade on this occasion. While I understand that Makkah properties are under immense pressure during peak periods, the lack of elite recognition at check-in was a bit disappointing compared to other properties in the area. We also encountered significant confusion regarding the dining arrangements for Ramadan. At the front desk, we were quoted over 400 SAR per person for Suhur, yet upon entering our room, we found a notice stating that a complimentary meal would be served. This kind of contradictory information can be quite confusing for guests trying to plan their spiritual schedule. ​ Despite these communication gaps at the reception, the service from the hotel's operational staff was truly world-class. The bellboys were exceptionally professional and helpful, handling our luggage and logistics with a level of care that stood out even in a busy environment. We were also greeted with delicious welcome snacks in the room, which was a very thoughtful touch and a great example of the Fairmont’s signature hospitality. ​ Overall, while the property itself is magnificent and the service staff are some of the best in the city, there is a clear need for better alignment and communication at the front desk, especially regarding loyalty benefits and seasonal dining policies. If they can tighten up those administrative details, it would easily be a flawless five-star stay. For now, it remains a high-quality option where the hospitality of the staff on the floor truly saves the day.
