I had a pleasant stay! The hotel was clean and strategically located. It is within the Haram. You cannot miss a single prayer! The facilities of the hotel are luxurious and made my stay very comfortable! Excellent food provided in the Hotel's restaurant.

The WiFi was terrible across all 3 rooms I had booked. Even with 3 visits from an engineer this did not get sorted. The rooms were very dusty and need a deep clean and an airing or some other solution to combat a very damp smell that damaged my clothes.

My brother and I completed a 7-day Umrah on January 15th through the support of Worldwide Travel Tourism group. We stayed at Swissotel Makkah, which is located in less than 300 metres vicinity from the Haram and is located at a very convenient exit to the Haram. We stayed in room no. 4226, which is on the 42nd floor with Kaaba view. It was very surreal and mesmerizing to keep looking at the Kaaba every now and then. The room smelled so good, was luxurious and quite spacious. I would like to specially thank Mr. Mohammed Rafeeq who was our at our housekeeping service. He is the most humble and hospitable staff I have met in the hotel. He was prompt and well trained in the housekeeping, and also quite generous when it comes to providing amenities. He would regularly enquire if we have sufficient water bottles or do we need anything more. Food - We have tried their breakfast and lunch buffet. The Ruwaad restaurant is massive and caters to a huge crowd with innumerable varieties of dishes to choose from. We were only a bit sad to not find any South Asian dishes for breakfast, but it's understandable that the majority crowd were from the Middle East or the West and most dishes were leaning towards those cuisines. Additional Feature - The best feature of the room for me is intercom for the call for prayer. We can pray along with the imam together from the room itself if one wishes to do so, and it is helpful especially during sunny or peak hours where you can't get a space in the mataaf area. The reception floor connects to the clock tower aka Abraj Al Bait where you can go to the food court or do other miscellaneous shopping.
