msfickle Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

We had one night in Casablanca between a flight and a train ride, so chose Ibis Casa Voyageurs primarily for its location. It’s what you’d expect from Ibis, clean, helpful staff and the basic amenities. The hotel is right at the train station, very easy to stroll across a flat area with suitcases. There are lots of taxis outside, and we used these to head out for dinner with no trouble at all. All up, pleasant stay at the Ibis and a great choice for a short stay to be near the train station.

The old hotel building has vanished to make room for the new railway station and the Ibis is now on the other side of the same square. View from my room let me admire the architectural elegance of the station. The breakfast was exceptionally good offering all kinds of food and served nicely in a bright restaurant.

The room was clean but had a strange smell as if the air was stale. Breakfast was varied and being vegetarian, I was able to eat enough to remove the feeling of hunger. The people working for your hotel all seemed very friendly and we're very helpful, unlike at the NH hotel at Cassa Voyageurs.

I had checked in online and sent a message to the hotel that I would arrive in the morning due to my flight. However, the booking was cancelled. I was requested to wait in the lobby until the room is ready. It was around 11:00 AM. I waited in the lobby for about an hour. The receptionist who I spoke with was not there. I talked to another receptionist. She said I had to wait until 1:30 PM. I was wondering if communication between the staff existed. Also, the reception was almost always crowded, but only one receptionist was at the desk. Consequently, guests were forced to wait for a long time.
