I didn't look closely at the online reviews until after I had made a non-refundable booking. Some of them are clearly fake. The hotel is too tired and shabby for the Novotel brand. The air conditioning barely worked and the male staff were mostly cold, evasive and unhelpful, with the exception of the staff in the restaurant and bar who were lovely. The women on staff I encountered were also unfailingly helpful and friendly. It's in a good location, and it's basically clean, but the furniture is all stained, there are marks on the walls and floor, the towels thin and greying and, weirdly, the sheets didn't go all the way to the bottom of the bed. If you are looking for cheap, maybe check out the Ibis next door. If you want something higher-end go to the Sofitel on the other side. I didn't go into either of them, though, so read the reviews thoroughly first and know what you are getting.
