The breakfast has completely changed . If you don’t get there early there is no juice , coffee , waiting an hour for selected breakfast . At one morning people were lined up , no one to allocate table. The food was depleted anyway. No bikes for clients to use . Was charged nearly $100 for using credit card as debit card was rejected even though had money in it. So had to transfer money in cc to pay.

Lagoon Bar, rude staff, overpriced food - AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

This is specifically about the Lagoon bar at Pullman Sea Temple Palm Cove. I would give it 0/5 if I could. I found the service at the bar to be appalling and absolutely taking the piss with prices. I took my kids there for ice-cream. It was pretty slow and the bar staff saw us but didn’t offer to serve us. Another bar staff member barked rudely at my children to move aside when they were excitedly looking at the ice cream options and not getting in the way. All the ice-cream options were lactose free and flat-tasting. It was $6 each for two pathetically small scoops of ice-cream, $1 holiday surcharge (with which I don’t have a problem) but a 7.5% surcharge for using a debit card. After all that, they had the audacity to ask for a tip. Tip for what? Bad product, rude staff and epically slow service. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Whilst the facilities here are nice, pools etc, the rooms leave a lot to be desired. Very dated and tired. Stepping over a very high bath tub to get into the shower is a hazard. Food and beverage department needs a lot of improvement. Service was slow, breakfast not as described when booking. We also has Xmas day lunch here which was terrible. With dietary requirements I had triple checked before booking that I would be catered for and assured each time that I would be well looked after. There was nothing I could eat. None of the hot food and only the ham and prawns, no salads. Service was also very poor. We were shoved in a corner with no air con or fans and only received decent drink service after we complained. Extremely upset with the cost due to this. For the money paid for our stay we definitely feel ripped off.
