very good as always although my next door neighbours were noisy ie slamming the doors which are very loud anyway and shouting out to each other instead of speaking normally and respecting their fellow residents. the service was good from the staff though. i had asked for a room at the front of the resort where i have stayed before but this was not accommodated which was a shame as i was nearer the pool and therefore it automatically became noisier - i do like to have some peace and quiet when i am travelling

Beautiful spacious apartment in 5* hotel with large pools and lush gardens all located with direct access to the beach. Quiet hotel in quiet location just a 5 min walk along the shoreline to Palm Cove’s shops and restaurants. Fab staff. Top class restaurant on site with beautiful outdoor seating area. Also poolside bar. No fighting over poolside lounges as always some were available.

At nearly $600 a night, it seemed pricey, but we're regular visitors to Palm Cove and had walked through the Sea Temple an number times, thinking how nice it looked. The hotel does indeed look nice, but the room we were given certainly was not. Bland as an airport hotel room, overlooking the road and the entrance to the hotel with a balcony large enough only for two deck chairs. I asked if we could be moved, but apparently the hotel was fully booked. A disappointing part of our holiday and we will not stay at the Sea Temple again, nor recommend it to others.

Upon going to the 1 bed apartment we were allocated, the walls and door at the entry of this apartment were marked and scratched. Inside the kitchen joinery was clearly old and cupboards were misaligned. When going to bed the smell of urine was present and after removing the sheets, the mattress had a patch of urine on it, at the head end of the mattress. No one was at reception at the time when this was as found so we had to wait until the next morning to report it. The following morning I notified the reception staff and we were upgraded to a larger 2 bed apartment. Following this, the rest of our stay was enjoyable and relaxing.

Lovely resort. Had one problem in that when arriving at 9 00pm to find no one available to help. Couldn't get a thing to eat or drink and not a thing in the room fridge. Not a good start but it certainly improved.

We are having a fabulous stay. We have been in two different rooms and have enjoyed both. We loved our room with a private pool which was heated and would choose that room again. The rooms been very clean and comfortable, and the staff have been helpful and friendly. The reception staff were always so very approachable, friendly and helpful. The facilities are wonderful, the gardens and pool area is what draws us to this resort. The housekeeping is so good, the rooms are sparkling and so well presented each day. The dinner at the restaurant was very enjoyable and the food good. The bar food and drink service was very good. The only thing that we might comment about is the breakfast and room service menu. I think the breakfast service needs reviewing as it was not up to that expected at such a beautiful resort. Maybe there needs to be another staff member- was it understaffed? Quite often the food hadn't been replenished, there were no teacups, milk or the like. It all seemed a bit of a mess. No low fat milk was provided, which would be quite standard at any hotel now really. There was little choice in the cereal and muesli section. For not much money you could expand what you provide and present in the buffet in that area. And as for the room service menu, we had two very good experiences but one not so good. We ordered a pizza, which was very disappointing. Maybe that item needs reviewing as it looked and tasted like a cheap supermarket pizza that was undercooked and soggy. So not great. But overall we loved our stay and plan to return again next year if possible!

We’ve stayed at the Pullman at least once a year for many years and have always had a wonderful experience. However, the last couple of times have not been up to standard. Our previous stay we were in an older room the pillows smelt badly of body odour, and no robes were in the room. These were easily fixed with a call to reception. However the room smelt damp and the window blinds didn’t meet so day light entered the room very early. Plus they banged against the window with the breeze from the ceiling fan all night . I commented on this on check out and asked not to use that room again. This latest trip was in a similar room . I did ask at reception was there any other room available but was told no because the hotel was fully booked. (I checked on line and there were rooms available. ) The room wasn’t as bad but the blinds didn’t close properly and again let light into the room so very early. There was no bottled water in the room ( I believed gold members received this? ) We ordered room service that arrived cold and without cutlery so by the time we got the cutlery the food was even colder. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad for lunch by the pool. As I was eating it I realised there were no croutons or anchovies in the salad that were listen in the ingredients on the menu. I returned the salad to the lagoon bar and showed the staff member..who had a poke around my plate and asked did I want them ? I replied of course that’s part of the salad ! She did return with a bowl of croutons and anchovies about 5 minutes later. My husband had finished his lunch by this time. No apology..just handed the bowl over as if I’d inconvenienced the chef. In all the times we’ve stayed we’ve never once received the “complimentary” upgrade that Accor explorer members are promised “if available” I checked this time and the upgrade rooms were available. I just feel The Pullman Sea Temple has dropped its standards recently which is very disappointing. I really didn’t want to give any bad feedback however ..I feel if it’s not provided then things can’t be improved. Regards Debbie

This is a great property in a beautiful location but its in need of a refresh. We spoke to the reception and property teams about a terrible damp smell in room 310, which impacted our stay negatively. We were told this was normal in far north QLD. Having travelled extensively in this part of the country over many years we had never experienced it before, and were made to feel like we were beating up something from nothing. The showers were filled with mould which continued to grow throughout our one week stay, and anything beyond the immediate surfaces were filthy. The balcony was so dirty across all surfaces and furniture that it couldn’t be used for the duration of our stay. The day spa was difficult to book and then cancelled at the last minute. It was easier to go to another resort for these services. Our experience at the restaurant was good, despite our reservation promising a-la-carte breakfast only to find a buffet. Sarah provided exceptional service throughout our stay. The resort facilities again were tired - a broken spa, faulty pool gates and pool bar with very limited hours saw us spend most of our time out. It is unlikely we would return to stay again.
