Royal Harbour is our favourite hotel in Cairns. The location is perfect, being on the waterfront and near the lagoon. The apartments are well equipped and fairly spacious and the balcony is great as well. The Reception staff are terrific - friendly and professional - especially Volter and Cyril. We were on the 7th floor and had reserved an ocean view room. It should of been titled partial ocean view room. As our view was mostly Marina and esplanade. The website photos of view from our room were heavily edited to cut out adjoining buildings. Website photos also showed a spa bath which our room did not have. The website photos showed a verandah that stretched around room, also not what we got. The room was small. Bed was hard. Parking in allocated location was minimal and tight to get into. Only feature that was as advertised was the location, which is above night markets on the esplanade. Otherwise very disappointed as this holiday was booked to celebrate our anniversary and I had advised them of when booking.

The first time we have stayed at this very nice hotel. Room 708 was a one bedroom unit with full facilities including a washing machine. The clothes line on the spacious veranda was a very nice surprise & brilliant for quickly drying your clothes & swimmers from the pool. The view over the harbour was brilliant & it was an easy walk to everything cairns had to offer.
