Very accommodating staff, clean, fresh room. Free upgrade to a King suite with a spa. Perfect location overlooking the harbour. Convenient to restaurants, cafes, bars & an easy walk to city centre & Central Plaza a little further but walkable. Lovely esplanade outlook and walking.

Originally I had booked elsewhere to stay which actually turned into a nightmare, there was no way we could stay there for a week. I felt terrible that I had booked such bad accommodation for our wedding anniversary, as we are from Adelaide we found ourselves in a sticky situation with nowhere to go, I was so upset and could not stop crying. After calling reception and explaining to Valter our predicament, he told us that there was a room available which he could have ready within the next hour. We swiftly packed up and headed over, upon arrival we met Valter, he is such a lovely man, we told him how thankful we were for his assistance with rescuing our 25th wedding anniversary, it meant so much. Valter gave us our keys and told us our room number, when we got into our room we could not believe how amazing the hotel was and had to pinch ourselves to make sure we were not dreaming. The room was so clean, the view was amazing and the grounds and pool looked so welcoming. Over the week we stayed, all of the reception staff were all so friendly and helpful, we did not want to leave. We will be recommending The Royal Harbour Hotel to all if our friends and we will definitely be back to stay next time we come to Cairns. We want to thank Valter again for rescuing us and ensuring our 25th wedding anniversary was an amazing memorable experience.
