We enjoyed being able explore Cairns based at the Trilogy Mantra… easy to walk to the shops, cafes etc. We actually did enjoy our stay and would return… the following are some observations which you may feel helpful. Our room could best be described as tired which was disappointing… eg the bedroom shade blind was torn and tattered whilst the main blind we found broken. The arms of the lounge chairs were history… I had to be careful how I got up because if I pushed off the arms… it would have torn. The bathroom door handle was jammed and so wouldn’t close properly… there was also no storage space in the bedroom. Kitchen wise, there were no sharp knives and the fridge freezer was temperamental. Also, no one came to clean the room etc even though we were there 10 days. And yet, your staff at the front counter were always friendly and helpful. What we did find disappointing was the outside pool. From the website it was a deciding factor in choosing your place… but, the pool lacked maintenance, no change rooms or shower and the pool wasn’t heated. When we hired a car we were told where to park, but when we drove in… it was full. I was then told I could park a block away (200m) but it would cost more. It would have been helpful to know that up front and we weren’t even there in the holiday season.

We stayed here for 5 nights to celebrate our mothers 95th birthday. The room, a 2 bedroom dual key apartment was perfect. The location was fantastic. The bedding was clean and extremely comfortable and we had an amazing view of the sea.

Parking was advertised but there wasn’t any. The shower in room 807 has mold in it and the shower door does not open. The wall shelf in the main bedroom is installed upside down so the bolt is visible. .

Well located, staff were relatively pleasant to deal with. The apartment however was tired and in need of an update. Doors to the bedroom did not work properly, a recently repaired towel rack again began to come away from the wall on the last night we stayed. It definitely needs a deep clean. Despite organising a late check out, house keeping still turned up at 1000 wanting to clean the room. Obviously, the late check out had not been communicated to them. The furniture is also in need of an update as it was rather uncomfortable when sitting on the couch.

I stayed for work and found my room to be very dated. With large chips in the timber furniture, stained carpet and for the entire stay there was no house keeping

The property's cleaning products need reviewing - the vacuum didn't work and there was no broom/brush and shovel The property is dated - edges on the island bench cabinetry at the level of the kicker are pulling off, seal around the kitchen tap needs replacing, oven needs a good clean and we needed assistance to get this working - the fan setting didn't work, needed a different setting but in the end was able to get it to heat up for use Ants in the kitchen area overnight - could do with a pest spray Could do with a rug/mat in the main living areas to soften the finish At the price point, I would expect things like a high chair and portacot could be included with the apartment - we had to pay an additional $60 for the stay for these The bed and linen was very comfortable, adequate supply of towels and staff at the facility were very attentive which was great
