My arrival at a Mantra Trilogy Cairns hotel after a grueling day was met with frustration, thanks to Vanessa's indifference at reception regarding a booking mix-up. Despite confirmation from the travel agency, I was left in limbo for over half an hour, neglected for other guests. The situation worsened with another staff member's lack of initiative, leading to more unnecessary delays. The room, promised yet unprepared, featured worn-out towels and a possibly bug-infested couch. This experience, a stark contrast to my usual stays at Mantra properties, has firmly dissuaded me from ever returning or recommending this hotel.

Constant issues with swipe cards on check in and the next day. Room has no desk for people staying for business, rooms are dated and need a face lift.

good location and it was nice to receive an upgrade

The trip was room was good but there were things that did not function correctly. The remote for the bed room was originally not working but that was fixed. When it was fixed it had some interesting issues eg Volume up durned the volume down and vice versa. The smoke alarm was missing over the door and only the connection plate was thee (so it was very obvious. I reported this on the first day I was there (showed a picture). They said it should not be like that and would be addressed the next day. Four days later when I checked out it still was not addressed.

When I arrived there was no desk or chair and was told I would have to pay 70 dollars extra for the privilege of a chair to sit and attend my work meetings even know the web site says it’s the best place for business or leisure the room was in awful condition and no test tags on any of the electrical equipment so i was not able to use any of the powered items

At Mantra, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. We do have hotel rooms with desks and if this is requested prior to your stay we are normally able to accommodate this. As the day was extremely high occupancy we were unable to accommodate this request after check in. The only way to guarantee this would be to book an apartment style room which was the $70 upgrade fee. Due to a cancellation a room became available with a desk later in the day and we tried to contact you to move you into that room, however got no response. Regarding the test and tag, we do have installed automatic RCD testing switches, which are tested every 6 months. We appreciate you sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Sincerely, The Mantra Trilogy Team
