Some very minor inexpensive room upgrade would be great. 1) no USB outlet in the room. (as en electrician it's simple to do just change over some power points with USB built in) 2) No telephone in the room 3)no clock radio in the room

Friendly check in, up grade to executive suite which was located on the corner providing great views of pool etc. Reception staff allowed us to use spare chargers as we had just returned from overseas and forget our Australian phone charges and the rooms didn’t have usb chargers. Breakfast was good the first breakfast (Saturday) was peaceful the chef was methodical and the room was peaceful, our final breakfast (Sunday) the chef was loud noisy banging and timers from the kitchen and the noise permeated to the dinning room, this is our only negative. We used skip the clean as it was only a two night stay.

The property is lovely, and the rooms have been very well renovated. I would have appreciated an onsite restaurant with lunch and dinner service. I also think the breakfast offering would be better suited to an à la carte, made-to-order service rather than a buffet. The buffet is relatively small, so an on-demand menu could provide a fresher and more premium experience.

Stayed in a loft room as my wife and I had previously. The bed was comfortable. The ensuite was of a good standard. The furniture in the lounge was uncomfortable. The carpet on the stairway was stained in several areas. The balcony furniture was also uncomfortable and even primitive. The fridge and microwave were sufficient. The staff at the front desk were curteous and helpful. The cleaners also were courteous and helpful. Our room was kept nicely clean and stocked each day. A big thank you to all the staff. The pool and inside fence area was kept clean and usable. The shade lounges have rips in the shade fabric and are showing their age, though still comfortable. The furniture in the surrounding area although functional shows many rips in the seating fabric. Generally the furniture has seen better days and needs replacing. The restaurant is only open for breakfast. No comment on the breakfast as we did not choose to partake. My wife and I previously enjoyed an evening meal here but that is no longer an option which means going out to dine each night. Not our preference. In summary the facilities are showing their age and need some TLC. The staff are helpful and good at their jobs. Would I stay here again. If the furniture in the rooms and the outside facilities was up graded to an acceptable standard and the hotel restaurant and bar were reopened I would stay here again. I would not recommend the Mecure currently. I am unsure how many stars The Mecure is rated at but my rating would be a 3. This opinion is meant to be helpful to both the owners and future clients.
