Room relatively clean, some old food left in the suitcase, a broken toilet seat and bedside light dimmer not woking, very frustrating as I like to read in bed!!!!!!!

Hotel was in a great location to walk everywhere we wanted to go, esplanade, CBD, Pier to catch our ship to the reef. Hotel is aged and a bit shabby, but very clean and staff ( Evan and Kelly) made our stay excellent

Our family had 2 rooms, both were warm... hotel staff told us that the aircons only worked if we set them to 24 degrees. We followed their instructions, but the aircons still only blew out very weak cool air. The sleepings became very uncomfortable. After daily activities in Cairns' tropical, warm weather, we hoped to get some restful sleep in a well-air-conditioned room. Unfortunately, these rooms are nothing close to that.
