Lovely hotel with 2 incredible pools that my family thoroughly enjoyed. Pools were definitely the main attraction. We required 2 rooms as we travelled with 3 children (one of which was a toddler). It did cost a lot of money but obviously needed 2 rooms for the 5 guests. Disappointing that despite requesting during booking, a cot wasn’t provided and I was told it would cost a further $15/night. Seemed crazy considering the price I’d already paid to stay for 4 nights. Within the room, there were neither bath towels nor beach towels provided for the 5th guest- our toddler. The room required maintenance. Exhaust fan didn’t work in bathroom and air conditioners weren’t working for the first 2 two days (half our stay). Mentioned the exhaust fan in bathroom to the air con maintenance person. Returned home and there was dirt and dust in the shower and vanity from where someone had looked at it and just left it. Still broken and remained broken for the duration of our stay. With the exhaust fan and air con not working, it was extremely hot and humid in the room and made getting ready for the day very uncomfortable. The washing machine was also old and broken. When I pulled out the compartment to add the detergent, the front face of the compartment just came straight off. Jets in the spa (main spa in pool area) were also not working. This is a lovely hotel with a stunning pool area. Unfortunately the maintenance of the property was not up to the same standard. When paying the price we paid, basic provisions should be all functioning and in good order.

Check in was frustrating, I emailed ahead of time confirming I intended to use ACCO gift vouchers to go towards the balance for the stay - response confirmed all accepted no issue. 3 staff members at the desk upon check in didn’t know how to process these and looked blankly at me until I asked if there was a senior who could help, only when managed on duty arrived it was sorted - Trent was fantastic and took us directly to our room whilst GC were applied later. Apartment was very spacious, clean. Great view. Some block out curtains on main room would be great as light from outside came through shutters and lit up the room all night. Rest of the stay was average, cleaning each day was subpar, given beach location would expect floors given a once over. Towels one day were left on the floor. Frustration Ordering drinks at swim up bar, again staff seemed untrained and unhelpful when there was an issue with room # (as it was a joint combined 2bd/studio, room number in system was different to the one given to us at check in). They just looked blankly and said we had it wrong - need to pay cash instead of looking up our details. Held up service to other customers which was embarrassing, I apologised and ask what I should be quoting at the room number - again was fobbed off without a great deal of help. Check out was straight forward, staff much better then check in, made the process very quick.

That said, I am sorry to hear that a number of aspects of your stay did not meet expectations. In particular, your arrival experience should have been seamless, especially given you had advised us in advance regarding the use of Accor gift cards. The uncertainty at reception and delay in resolving this is not the standard we aim to deliver, and this has been addressed with the team to ensure better familiarity and confidence moving forward. I also appreciate your comments regarding the apartment and your suggestion around block-out curtains. This is helpful feedback and something we will review as part of our ongoing improvements. In relation to daily servicing, your feedback is noted. Given our beachside location, we agree that maintaining clean floors is important, and this is an area we will revisit with our housekeeping team to ensure consistency in delivery. Your experience at the swim-up bar is also disappointing to read. The confusion around room numbers and the way this was handled should have been managed more proactively by the team, rather than placing the onus back on you. This will be followed up with the team to ensure better training and guest handling in these situations. I am, however, pleased to hear that your departure experience was smooth and efficient. We genuinely appreciate you taking the time to provide this level of detail, as it allows us to address specific areas and improve. Had a nice experience although tripped over from a tile sticking up near bar area very dangerous trip hazard. I did notify the barman his words were “try reporting it to reception as I have told them many times and nothing has been done” I then went and told reception and walked over to show her, she agreed and said she would put a sign up or block it off straight away….. which was never done. We were there another 3 days and no sign or anything done about it! Poor form!

I am pleased to hear that overall you had a nice experience, however I am very concerned to read about the incident you encountered near the bar area. A trip hazard such as a raised tile should have been addressed immediately, particularly after being reported more than once. The fact that this was raised with both our bar team and reception, and no temporary control (such as signage or isolating the area) was put in place, is not acceptable. I also apologise for the response you received when reporting the issue. This should have been taken seriously and actioned straight away, rather than leaving you to follow it up further. Please be assured this has now been escalated internally as a priority. We are reviewing both the repair of the area and the communication between teams to ensure that safety concerns are addressed immediately moving forward. Your feedback is genuinely appreciated, as it highlights an area where we need to improve, not only in maintenance response but also in how we handle and act on guest-reported issues.
