We had a great few days at Peppers in Palm Cove. The staff were great, the rooms were great, and the resort facilities (especially the pool) were great. We would definitely stay here again if we go back to Palm Cove.

Disappointed. Nil Accor benefits actioned. I am a gold member, no early / late check out, no room upgrade etc. the hotel was not near capacity. Room had mould and balcony had bird poo and spider webs. Pool was great and well looked after but not enough to book again.

We chose Peepers Palm Cove for our wedding anniversary and felt it would be child friendly with the lagoon for our 14 month old. However out stay was disappointing. We were disappointed to find the room looked visually clean but was clearly not properly cleaned. Bench tops and inside cupboards were brown when wiped. A toe nail was in our room. The phone was broken. And the surf club played outdoor music and sport till 10.45pm on Queensland day. The following day it was until 8.15pm. We noted this to staff and they kindly upgraded us to a two bedroom unit after two nights when the room became available. The manager was professional and friendly and addressed out complaints with professionalism and action. However when we moved to the 2 bedroom unit this was also unclean and we had to wipe all the surfaces down. There was mold on the ceiling is the cupboards and the bedrooms had no top lights attached to the fan so they were dark. The bbq was clean but the benches outside were filthy. The swim up deck was showing its age and was wobbly. In general it was obvious that there was a lack of cleaning staff and other staff in general. This is not ok when you are charging 5 star rates. This hotel should be dropped to 4 star. It not ok to charge a premium but reduce staff. I would like to thank the manager at reception for upgrading us. All the staff at reception were kind and helpful with requests. I would also like to make a shout out to the chef that works most mornings on the buffet breakfast. His food is amazing, donuts and pastries are delicious. He always had a smile on his face and was very helpful and kind. However from a guest perspective it was sad to see that one chef was behind the buffet doing everything. We have never experienced this in a 5 star hotel. And yet the chef smiled and met every request for other items outside the buffet food. The cleaning staff were friendly but clearly do not have enough time to clean the rooms properly. Which is again not ok in a 5 star resort. We loved the lagoon and pools. However more cleaning staff are needed for the rooms and a cleaning manager each shift to oversee rooms are clean. We don't think we would stay again unless the upkeep and staff increase.
