Unfortunately our stay coincided with the school holidays. The noise level at times became tiring and the hotel does not have a area where one can have a quiet drink. We stayed previously when the overall ambiance was more pleasant. If there is to be a next time we will be more careful with the dates.

whilst the resort itself is fine, little things let it down. one day we got back to the room around 2.30 and it wasn't made. we asked if we can have it made so we can have a bit of lay down and rest and were told that "service is till 4, so it will happen any time before the." Had to leave the restaurant before even ordering as the service was so poor and inattentive. There were strong winds the first couple of days and the verandah was extremely messy, but it was never cleaned after that for the duration of our stay - another 4 nights. Can't get a seat at the swim up bar as it was occupied by kids under 8 - yes, with their parents, but I would have thought that that area shou;d be for adults, given the service of alcohol.

We had a wonderful stay at Peppers, lovely comfortable unit and responsive staff. Was amazing to return after a day out exploring to a clean unit, bed made and fresh towels. Felt very spoilt. Lovely swimming pools, great restaurant and perfect location. One issue we had was sorted very quickly which ensured our lovely holiday continued.

I don’t think it’s a 5 star resort . Not much service and amenities are tired. Gym is very poor and tennis rackets and balls are no good. Lagoon pool is nice but need to update to have a spa and sauna somewhere. Paid over $9,000 for 3 rooms for 3 nights and I think it’s only worth about half of that.

We were really disappointed with the rooms. We had a resort room which cost around $1200 for 3 nights and advertised as 5 star. The room and furnishing was really dated, the doors were stiff with peeling paint, bathroom tiles had cracks in them and there was barely any counter space in the bathroom. The bedroom was small and barely any space for 2 open suitcases (no issue in any of our other accom in the previous 3 weeks in FNQ). I was gutted to have spent so much money on this hotel for the final part of our honeymoon. That said, we did appreciate the sparkling wine honeymoon gesture and the pool area is nice - although some cushions for the sun loungers would be good.

Room pictures were so different from the tired room we got. Not even a plastic bottle of water in fridge and this did not feel five star at all. Parking at night was in an underground facility 500 m away and not well explained. Initially went to wrong parking facility and had to reverse back out in pitch dark. The resort is tired.

The pool and general layout facilities are fine, location is fantastic, however the room is very outdated and the bed and pillows were terrible. The shower leaked water as well.
