We had a four night stay which was lovely. We had a lovely room with a pool view and very comfy bed. Lovely and clean, very spacious.

Pool was the best Room was dirty, air con and fan were that dirty we couldn’t even use them, when you pay nearly $200 a night very annoyed Complained about them and was just told no manager on someone will call? Also the buffet breakfast was $20 and it wasn’t eatable The fruit had flies and was off

Overall was satisfied. I think 5 star rating is very overrated. Don’t know if it was because situations currently in but the people were not as welcoming and open and friendly. Staff didn’t approach and ask if required or wanted anything. Only cleaners did. I wanted to keep our holiday on our own home step which I did and was satisfied with the peace and less amount of people on tours and all around. That was my highlight of stay. No one asked how our stay was or did we require anything to make stay better. My boy who is 5 and he wasn’t comfortable going to swim in the other two pools because so we stayed in the back pool most of our stay. There was no blow dryer for my wife’s hair. Didn’t get clean swimming towels everyday so I had to dry the one I did have everyday. Overall my stay in North Queensland was something I will never forget but for the price of a 5 star hotel and resort I would never pay that amount again. Some days the breakfast buffets were fresh and good eating. But other days buffet was very under average. I was given a fifty year old pack of Nescafé instant coffee which was green. Was not even apologised to or even given anything for compensation of it. I do have photos of it but didn’t make big deal out of it. But again 5 star resort going cheap on instant coffees is a bit ridiculous. Love location of the resort. Beach walks and playgrounds and fishing jetty were big features to my nightly walks. Didn’t enjoy that bars and pubs and clubs were all closed by 10:30pm. Shopping stores weren’t many. No onsite massage parlours and no complimentary anything for stay over a week. Only complimentary thing was 3 free drinks from a hugely snobby bar tenders which I went to once and never went back because of the level of rudeness and lack of service for the one drink I did get. They served everyone else but myself. Took them 10mins before I and another two ladies were served drinks. That was my first day of my stay there too. Didn’t make me think highly of the staff for my stay. The pools were great even though mostly only swam in the serenity pool at the back. Car parks were hardest things to find ever.

the one bedroom apartment had many things wrong,the bedroom doors to the balcony did not lock,this is a safety concern,ripped pillowcase,dust along skirting board and behind bed head, not enough hangers,had to ask for towels only 1 large towel and 1 hand towell and 1 face cloth each,only serviced once a week ,thick black dust on lounge fan,above cooker light did not work,lounge seat felt itchy when sat upon,needs a good clean,minimal utensils in kitchen not even a salad spinner,T v channels very poor that was when they worked.The resort also allowed loud men at pool bar to be annoying to others when watching sports on i pad.This was to be a relaxing holiday,when the building work with grinders and jack hammers started and the was a building site,in the second week,i was so glad to be leaving.

I wasn’t told that there were renovations taking place. Nha day I known I would not have booked. Apart from the lack of a decent restaurant, we had machine noise coming from above at 8.11am on two consecutive mornings. The temporary dining room was very uninviting. On Thursday and Friday I had to ask the staff for cups, saucers, spoons and tea. They were also clearing our table before we had finished breakfast. While I was drinking my tea, my glass of water was removed from the table. Additionally outer balcony was dirty when we arrived and wasn’t cleaned during our midweek clean.

We stayed at the Ocean front room and the view was really amazing . The rooms were very clean and the overall experience of the stay was really nice. The staff were very helpful and also helped arrange a few local tours for us. Will definitely recommend this to anyone visiting cairns .

Wonderfully relaxing couples week. Loved the pools, room upgrade was unexpected but greatly appreciated. All staff very friendly. Included breakfast was up to standard with many different choices of hot and cold (although soy milk out in a jug with the standard milk would be my only suggestion instead of having to ask staff). Beach pool is the perfect temperature to spend a whole day in (literally in the water), with the swim up bar to order drinks and food making it too easy to pass the time. Location right on the beach with easy walk to all shops and restaurants is perfect.

The ground floor location of the 3 bedroom apartment next to the Serenity Pool was perfect for our family. Services throughout Peppers were excellent, staff were friendly and professional. The only suggestion would be that the pool bar have more staff available during peak times/volumes.

We pre notified that we would arrive early at approximately 12pm. When we actually arrived at 11.45 we were told “no problem, your room is just being cleaned and will be available shortly, I’ll text you as soon as it’s ready”. It got to 2pm and no text was received and no apology given when we asked whether our room was ready. Our bags had been left out and did not get delivered for approximately 40 minutes after we got to the room - evidently there was a mix up due to 2 couples with the same surname? We were given a voucher for a free bottle of wine at the Lime and Pepper restaurant at check in together with a spa discount which seemed to be standard. Lime and Pepper does not exist at the moment as its being renovated. It has been replaced by the “Rainforest Restaurant” - this is in fact the conference room and has an assortment of bae Marie’s that reminded me of so called 3-4 star hotel restaurants when I was working as an expat in Indonesia and also the Indian Sub Con. It certainly wasn’t Lime and Pepper as we remember it from our previous stays (5)in palm Cove. We should have at least been pre warned that Lime and Pepper was shut. Also we couldn’t believe that you charge extra for coffee at breakfast and also a whopping 3.5% extra for Amex when you check out. I worked for Amex for 9 years and there is no way your merchant fee is anything like that. Overall whilst we love Palm Cove and had a great stay, the only thing to recommend Peppers is Choc Dee.
