Central location, friendly and helpful staff, hotel bar and dining rooms are modern and comfortable. We had a suite room which had a king size bed and a sofa which opened into a bed for the kids. Sofa Mattress was uncomfortable and a proper bed should of been offered for the cost of the room. The pool area is awesome and best part of the hotel. The only downfall is the number guests inviting people into the hotel pool, leaving this area crowded and without a lounge or chair to sit on. This needs to be policed somehow as not fair for paying guests.

Overall, stay was fine. On safety the pool had a broken water or light ducting which had a "cover" poorly tied over it -a really bad look and may have concerned some about electrical or general safety.

As our pool view room wasn’t ready by 2pm check in time we were offered a city view room instead plus $50 food and beverage voucher which we enjoyed and were very grateful for. Our room was nice but the aircon was very noisy and leaking water. Staff were very nice and accommodating.

Overall it was very good. Just a couple of small things, always had to ask for a third towel even though we had a room booked for three. The morning drinks weren’t great, ordered chocolate milkshakes, they were warm and tasteless.

Hi there , your hotel is in a central location with lovely gardens and friendly staff upon arrival. Unfortunately I found cocktails around pool could be better and faster service , and drinks need to be chilled and fresh unfortunately fir the price they where terrible and using cheap products. Very overpriced for drinks I ordered my children x2 juices , you are using golden circle cupboard cheap juice that was left out in sun and then added ice to it . It’s literally a $2 juice from the supermarket and then charged me $5 a cup it’s absolutely horrible to drink . Buy fresh at least ? Breakfast bland and pretty much raw bacon on my plate , I probably would stay again but would not eat or drink at hotel . It’s very important I think to use the right ingredients and nail it if your going to service food and beverages .

We have stayed at many Novotel hotels in the past and this stay (Cairns) was by far our least favourite. The hotel is understaff and most of the staff that are working were unhelpful and did not seem like they wanted to be in hospitality at all. Certainly not cheerful to be working here. We had to call at 4pm in the afternoon to get our room made up, I had to call 3x to make a room service order. Both calls were answered with “The staff have been busy”... which I don’t deny, but we are paying good money and expect the standard to be as per Novotel standards. There was no attempt for customer service. We have just returned for our final night, after being on green used during for four nights. We have paid the exact same price for the accommodation for a “deluxe room” yet it is half the size, no waters, missing two towels. Not impressed with Novotel Cairns.

We loved the resort style feel with swim up bar, kids activities and lovely outdoor areas. Generous sized rooms with comfy beds and newly renovated. Novotel Oasis Cairns is centrally located in walking distance to The Esplanade, Pier and Reef casino. We loved the breakfast that was included and restaurant menu with daily specials. The $19 steak was terrific! My only complaint was the tour desk staff (Nathalie Raben) who was extremely aggressive in her manner, and continually called us until 10pm at night when we told her we were out for dinner. We also found out she lied to us about availability to Kuranda and overcharged us $200 for the reef cruise. This was very disappointing. We were grateful that Izuzi found this error and refunded us the money, and assisted with our Kuranda booking, finding us the most affordable option rather than jacking up the price for commission.

I bought the whole family for 5 nights. The food was amazing, beds comfy, staff friendly. U must say Ryan the hospitality manager was the best! Your staff all work very hard. Jet was great too, always going out if his way to help. The one thing I’d love to see is aqua aerobics in the mornings or pool games for adults like volleyball. I’ll be back.

I love the hotel and location and pool were great. Didn’t like being on the ground floor room so much. The only thing that was an issue was trying to order drinks or food it took so long.

Bar way understaffed. Very poor beer selection. Cocktails were slightly overpriced. Staff were generally quite friendly. Rooms were clean. No information in the room for room service ect. Only 1 smoking area out front. Surely there could of been a beer garden on the hotel grounds. Menu quite outdated and limited.

The staff went above and beyond for us during our stay. In particular I would like to thank Holly who was in contact regarding Santa's arrival xmas day with presents to our room for my Miss 10 and Mr 8. Without Holly I doubt that this would have happened and done so well. Thanks Holly! The staff upon check-in were fantastic, unfortunately I do not recall their names. Upon arriving in our room the floor was wet from condensation and my son slipped and injured himself. I phoned the staff at the front desk and they swiftly arranged for a new room and assistance with moving our bags. The crew in admin and the front desk were exceptional! There is a need for training of the hospitality staff in the restaurant and bars, as many had sour attitudes, with one in particular stopping making our order so he could gossip with another staff member about her weekend. Every time he served us he complicated the situation or would usher us away from where we went to sit. I did attempt to take his name, but unfortunately cannot recall it. I dreaded being served by him. The meals were fantastic and great serving sizes also. These made for perfect Christmas meals when family come to join us. It wasn't until the last day that I was told that kid's ate free for breakfast. Would have been great to have known this earlier. Once again a big thank you to the front desk team and Holly, you made our day and our stay!!!

My son and I stayed in Room 559 a 2 x double bed room pool view. As soon as we opened the door we were greeted by a light and fresh, homely, well presented clean room. The room was also well serviced daily. The facilities as a whole are well kept and staff friendly although bar service at pool and inside can prove to be very slow. I found the beds too soft to my own personal preference. Foxtel would have been a nice addition. The location is great as it is next to the Cairns Aquarium and only two or three blocks from both the marina and other amenities. We used the fridge to store drinks and breakfast items and ate out and in the in-house restaurant for lunches and dinners.
