I was very annoyed to be called after I had checked out to say that my card had declined. When I queried, I was told I checked in with a mastercard - I didn't. I checked in using my amex. The man on the phone (George) actually said to me, I dunno how it happened when I queried how there could be a card mix up. I asked for a call back to be told by George that he had checked the CCTV footage and that I had checked in with a man and he paid by mastercard. I said this was absolutely incorrect and he was looking at the wrong person as I checked in by myself and used an AMEX. Thankfully his supervisor rechecked and called me back to confirm yes that was correct but to date, no one can explain how an old mastercard has ended up on my file and the card I used to check in with was not recorded (even though that was the card they used to cover any expenses). I am still not satisfied that someone else's card was put on my file. I have not had a mastercard for quite a few years.
