It was on okay stay, the lifts are in upgrade maintenance mode and so you need to be a little patient. Staff need some training on customer service, not rude or anything just robotic.

Nice large comfortable room. Only downside was limited lift access due to maintenance which was not advised prior to arrival likewise with no restaurant for dinner which was luckily cover club restaurants.

Only stayed one night, but we were upgraded to a top floor very large room. This hotel is located near to some of our family so it is well positioned for when we need to visit. We had to eat dinner in the adjacent club as the restaurant is still not open following covid. Restaurant is however open for breakfast. It can be a bit tricky to find the car park depending upon which road you arrive on, but you can park in the club car park in need. They are happy to take StayNSW $50 vouchers.

Stayed in the apartment for a convention at the RSL next door. The rooms were so big we could have almost held the convention in the apartment.

Would be nice to be advised in advance about the lift situation. It will influence my decision to stay or not. Staff were really nice but overwhelmed. Check in process was lengthy Breakfast service was average, no juice, no bacon, Coffee line was 20mins. Generally good hotel just seemed to be overwhelmed or understaffed.

By law, we can't "prop" open the fire stairs, if one lift is still operational, but the middle fire stairs are all unlocked from top to bottom, I have forwarded this onto our Food and Beverage Manager for his perusal as well regarding Breakfast, staffing is a constant issue at the moment throughout hospitality, but it seems to be changing and we are recruiting through the RSL and Hotel, hopefully the Restaurant will re open in June for Dinner, again this relies on recruiting chefs/ front of house staff. I have stayed previously at the Novatel Sydney West HQ and never had any complaints. However, our stay this time was very disappointing. There was no lid on the toilet, the lighting in the bathroom was particularly dim and most disappointing was that the hot water was only luke warm. Certainly not hot enough to have a shower, which after a long day at a soccer tournament, was all I wanted for my son and me. Had it not been so late at night, I would have raised it immediately with reception. Furthermore, with one lift non operational, we were advised to use the fire stairs (which we didn't mind at all). However, the fire stairs were littered with rubbish. Super disappointed unfortunately and we are frequently at sporting events at BISP and looking to stay overnight.

The room was spacious and staff were helpful and friendly. However, the soundproof isn't that good. I can hear a group of people chattering near the lift for 15mins at a very loud voice aroun 10pm which awake my children. Also I can hear the water flow go through the pipe when next room is having shower.

Stay was very pleasant. Room wasn’t ready when went to check in but not a big deal for us. We waited less than 30 minutes. Got to have a look around the rsl club. Unfortunately one lift was also under maintenance when we were here. Again understand works need to be done but was a bit of an inconvenience. Rooms were great lots of room, clean and always fully stocked. Will certainly recommend to others.

Went to concert then stayed the night at the Novotel. As usual, great place to stay especially when combined with a fabulous show at t h e Sydney Colessuem. Bit disappointed to be told that we couldn't use our Accor silver card for discount on breakfast.

I have stayed at Novotel West HQ several times including during the pandemic. Rooms are always clean and the staff friendly and helpful. I particularly appreciate the ice machine on each floor. I am a member of the West HQ Club so have plenty to keep me occupied when I do stay. Access to the Fitness/Aquatic Centre and the nearby ten pin bowling centre are added bonuses.

Would not recommend. The lifts are poorly maintained and rooms are tidy but not cleaned properly. Staff at the adjacent RSL don’t clean tables as they pick up plates, not COVID safe. Rooms not disinfected. Not COVID safe. Staff totally complacent.
