I arrived to check in at 10pm, having confirmed beforehand there is a 24 hour reception. I was told the doors would be locked and to use the intercom. It turns out the doors were open so I felt a little silly having called the reception as instructed and then be told to walk right in. That’s just a small thing. After checking in, I was given the keycard, pointed in the right direction. Nothing said about there breakfast was being served the next morning although there is signage. I entered the room I had been allocated and found it was already occupied! Luckily the guest wasn’t actually in the room at the time. The bed covers were thrown back like someone has just gotten out of bed, they were dishes and empty beer bottle on the coffee table and used towels on the bathroom floor. I quickly returned to reception and explained the situation. I was given a surprised “really?” A lacklustre “sorry” and a new room procured. I spent most of the night worried someone else might be fire the key to access my room by mistake! The new roll was also near the courtyard so other guests who were sitting outside and speaking loudly meant I wasn’t able to fall asleep easily. It would be considerate to adopt a ‘quiet time’ across the premises and to respectfully ask guests not to to be loud in communal areas after 10pm (not too unreasonable given this was a Sunday night).

Friendly and professional staff. Lovely clean rooms. Comfortable bed. We were there for a wedding at Dural. A lot of our Family stayed there. They all said the rooms were great. Only thing is that we were all scattered but we did all book at different times. And you had a lot of guests staying there. So that could not be helped. I would highly recommend Peppers Hill Lodge to anyone wanting accommodation in Castle Hill. Thankyou to you all.

Our room was well appointed and the bead comfortable. We were kept informed as our room was not ready on time with apologies. The location, facilities including ev charging, and the quality of food in Nobles restaurant mean we will be returning here yet again in the future.
