The first night I was awoken at 2am by the smoke detector falling out of the ceiling. I also found someone else’s socks which were left on the shelf. Overall the entire property was quoted old looking and certainly not worth the price point.

I cannot praise this venue enough, they helped my son to plan his wedding here in 3 short weeks due to bush fires where he was originally going to have it. I think this venue worked out for the better! From the staff at reception, restaurant , wedding reception and cleaning staff all were extremely friendly and helpful. All made this a very enjoyable weekend, Thank you!

Just an overnighter and a pleasant little stay - fresh bedroom, I think recently refurbished. There was a wedding there when we stayed (I think likely to be weddings quite frequently) which made trying to get a drink from the bar prior to their sitting an absolute nightmare. Friendly and courteous service. TV didn’t seem to work properly, but no biggie.

I recently stayed at your hotel for a week over the Christmas period. Your staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and very cool during the very hot weather. The pool was sparkling clean and so much fun for the kids.

No microwave in the room staff doesn’t know the reason why no micro in the room . Hidden prices like if you watch tv and movie they will cost you . They make a mini bar when you enter you don’t know they are payable small packages of nuts and water cost skyrocketed. Unbelievable I really disappointed.

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. In response to your comments we do have microwaves in our suites, but not our regular hotel rooms. In regards to the comment re the TV the televison channels including Foxtel channels are all complimentary and it is only the movie channels that are pay per view. The minibar does have a pricelist beside the items and this is very standard across hotels globally. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. I was at the hotel for business but asked the hotel if we could upgrade to a room to accommodate my family. The staff, in particular, Chris at reception facilitated and this upgrade. Throughout our stay he very attentive and we felt very much looked after.

Organised a weekend away to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday. The Hills Lodge is a beautiful motel in such a good location. We have stayed here before and the staff made us feel very welcome and the facilities were clean and well maintained. Definitely a motel we will stay at again in the future.

Our experience was great. We checked in (myself and my 3 children), went for dinner and came back and the air con in our bedroom was not working and was quite stuffy in the bedroom. I rang reception who immediately said they would find a new room. They then rang back and said if it was ok they would have no choice but to move us. We packed our bags and reception rang and said they were testing the air conditioner in our new room it turns out that room had the same problem so the gentleman at reception then moved us into room number one which was a beautiful room. Unfortunately I forgot to get the Gentleman's name that helped us however he came to our room got all of our bags and as I'm currently disabled and our new room was upstairs which you checked with me first and I was fine with he then carried all of our bags up into our room made up the sofa bed for my children and made sure everything was ok he then called us later on just to double check that everything was ok and once again the next day when he was back on shift checks that everything was ok I cannot Express enough how smooth that the whole transition was going from one room to the next and how wonderfully the staff dealt with it it was like nothing was too hard or too much trouble for them and they made it as easy as anything to change rooms this is about a 4th or 5th stay at the Hills Lodge including my entire family staying for my sister's wedding and my mum spending a whole week there while my dad had surgery down the road and I have to say this hotel has the best customer service out of any Hotel I have ever stayed at whoever the gentleman is that helped us move rooms on the Friday night and we checked in is a wonderful asset to your hotel I cannot wait to see you again

The staff were awesome, the room was very clean & comfortable. I felt safe & welcome. However, my one disappointment was not being able to get into the pool that I was looking forward to swimming in. I have very bad knees, & would need a step higher up, closer to the edge of the pool, and especially a railing beside the steps. I was quite surprised there was no railing or hand bar. I mentioned this to the desk staff & she was very apologetic but there was nothing she could do, even though she suggested a few ideas. The only solution is better steps & a railing. The Christmas decor, especially in the restaurant was the most beautiful I saw during my 2 week stay in Australia!! The room service menu could use a couple of simpler, less expensive items, like a sandwich. The Staff were AWESOME!! I always felt welcome & special!! I'm glad I tried THE HILLS.

The rooms were very clean and well laid out. The bed was of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in a motel. The room did not smell like other motels, but felt fresh. Buffet breakfast on Christmas Day was made our day special. There is nothing to improve on! We would come again when next in Sydney.
