We have stayed at the Hills Grande Mercure in excess of probably 60 times in the past 6 years. We have also held several family functions there, including our own wedding and my parents' 60th wedding anniversary. I would normally give 10/10 every time but during our last stay there was some building noise in the room above or next to us. This only bothered us as I was feeling unwell at the time with a migraine.

The one bedroom apartment we stayed in was just perfect for our needs. At dinner and breakfast in Nobles we found all staff extremely attentive, alert and efficient. Added to that, the meals were all superb. Room service on Sunday was delivered promptly and was exactly what was needed. The late checkout we requested was given and we were able to achieve all we wanted to (study-wise) during our say. Cannot compliment all staff and the hotel itself highly enough.

No complaints about our check in or our room. The lady we met st reception was delightful & our room was lovely in every respect. However, the menu in the dining room is in serious need of an update. My Mum ordered the bruschetta and it was very, very average. I ordered the chicken. It was very tasty but for the price I would have expected some vegetables. Instead, it was served on a bed of sliced tomatoes. They know how to charge & I honestly don’t mind paying for this if I feel that it is worth it. Our lunch was not... However, the service was terrific. The girls were very friendly & efficient.

We were so excited to stay after viewing the photos of the suites when booking, that we ended up deciding to extend our stay and stay for 2 nights instead of only 1. We were so disappointed when we arrived and walked into our room. We travel quite a lot and the room was not even up to par with a hotel room, let alone a suite. The Lodge is rundown and desperate for an upgrade. It has such amazing potential. I had planned a weekend of massages and spa treatments, but to be honest, once we saw the room I was turned off spending any more money there. We wouldn't go back and on the first night, wished we had booked elsewhere in Sydney.

Dear Mrs P., Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Grand Mercure The Hills Lodge. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. I appreciate your comments and agree the Suites do need refurbishment. We have been rolling out a revamp of these rooms, but unfortunately this is a slow process and will not finish all our Suites until later in the year. This refurbishment includes new ceilings, lighting, trim, colours, carpet, art and much more to create a total new look. You mentioned your had booked from photos you had seen online which I am assuming was via a social media platform where we have announced this new look. If you are willing I would like to welcome you back for a complimentary night in one of these revamped rooms to experience a true Hills Lodge experience. We will have to try and work with you on availability of these rooms. I also wanted to ask what air conditioning and noise issues you experienced as well. The Grand Mercure The Hills Lodge is my choice for booking visiting business guests. Depending on traffic, it is a ten to fifteen minute drive to our head office located at Seven Hills. Without exception, our visitors make a point of thanking me for booking them into The Hills Lodge and describe the accommodation as "excellent". They have high praise for every aspect of their stay at The Hills Lodge.

I was very happy to be able to spend two weeks at the Hills Lodge, it was a good location for my needs
