My experience with Mecure Penrith is always pleasant but upon reading my email after returning home I was quite shocked to learn of the invoice cost as due to the current situation with club closures etc there was no facility for in house breakfast or room service dinner , these had to be outsourced , I really did expect a reduction in accommodation charges .

We always enjoy staying here.The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The lounge/bar area is a very pleasant place to have a drink. It's a short walk to restaurants and shops and the rooms are clean and comfortable.What's not to like?

Stayed 5 days at Mercure Penrith and the overall experience was excellent. The location was very convenient in terms of proximity from city centre, major food and shopping outlets. A good amount of parking space is available on site and the check-in/ check out is a breeze.

Regular visitor with very little issues untill my last stay where I inadvetantly left a device connected on charge. Returned that afternoon after checkout only to be informed that there was nothing in the room found by the staff. My fault for leaving something in the room; however, as a regular visitor, I had faith that these types of occurances would be regular and would simply be a case of oputing it aside for my next stay.

While the hotel itself could be described as a little run down, it is clean and comfortable. The staff though were friendly and efficient. Particularly the girls at the front desk who were lovely and a credit to you, also the ladies in Kelly’s cafe

Noisy and lack of sleep

My room was located right next to the lift shaft and could not get a decent sleep with the constant mechanical noise emitting into the room. Although the room was tidy, the overall experience was dissatisfaction.
