The service provided by Loraini, Henry, Chef Marshall and Adam was absolutely amazing. They were all so welcoming, attentive and made our experience truly special. The buffet breakfast was hands down the best we’ve ever had — such a great variety and everything was delicious. We will definitely be recommending this place to all our family and friends!

Spa stone cold & not working. Sauna/steam room stone cold and not working. Maintenance facilities on roof in pooltop left open to public and storing random trash & a significant who’s issue. Tried calling house keeping to get enough pillows and blankets but no one ever picked up. No minibar or anything else in the room. Buffet breakfast selection was extremely limited, poor quality & left for too long. Terrible experience & can’t imagine I’ll ever stay at a Novotel again. Will see if there is a response to this feedback & decisive after that

Pascal I. Families - Confirmed reviews ALL

Our stay at Novotel Parramatta, Sydney was without question the most appalling and infuriating hotel experience my family and I have endured in many years. We are a well-travelled family; our children, both under 12, have already visited five continents and over thirty countries. This context matters because it underscores that our expectations were reasonable, informed, and far from excessive. What we experienced at this hotel was not merely disappointing—it was outright unacceptable. The ordeal began immediately upon entering our room, where the carpet near the bathroom entrance was noticeably soaked. Given that it was New Year’s Eve and the hotel was fully booked, we initially gave the benefit of the doubt and assumed this was residual moisture from recent cleaning. That assumption quickly proved to be wrong. It became clear that the water was most likely wastewater from a damaged pipe, seeping into the carpet. We reported this to the hotel without delay. The response was astonishing in its inadequacy: we were told that nothing could be done, other than placing towels over the wet carpet. This was presented as the only “solution” available. Despite how unacceptable this was, we accepted it in good faith, trusting that the issue would be properly resolved the following day, 1 January 2026. On the morning of 1 January, we again went to reception to clearly inform staff that we would be out all day and explicitly requested that the room be fixed or that alternative arrangements be made before our return. When we came back around 7:00 pm, we immediately went to reception to understand how the issue had been addressed. What followed was not only shocking but deeply infuriating. The receptionist initially could find no record of any repair whatsoever. Moments later, she claimed that a report from the previous shift stated that we had been asked to pack our luggage before leaving that morning and that we had refused to do so. This was a blatant lie. No such request was ever made. This false statement alone severely damaged any remaining trust we had in the hotel. A senior staff member eventually intervened and accompanied us to the room. He personally confirmed that the carpet was still wet and acknowledged that no action of any kind had been taken throughout the entire day. His proposed “solution” was, once again, to place towels over the damp areas. We were also told that a room change was impossible because the hotel was fully booked. Later, we received a call offering a room change the following morning and complimentary breakfast for the remainder of our stay. By this point, the offer was far too little and far too late, and we declined. As if this were not enough, the general condition of the hotel was disturbingly poor, especially considering the premium price charged due to the festive season. The carpets in the elevators were old, stained, and dirty. The swimming pool was visibly unclean, containing dead leaves that at first glance resembled small animals—sufficiently unpleasant that we did not allow our children to use it. To compound matters further, during our early checkout at 5:00 am, there was no staff present at reception at all. We fully understand that facilities can fail and that repairs may not always be immediate. However, forcing guests—especially a family with young children—to spend two out of three nights in a room with carpet saturated by wastewater is both unhygienic and a gross disregard for guest welfare. The situation was already unacceptable; the deliberate falsehood told by staff escalated it into something far worse, creating a complete loss of confidence in the hotel’s integrity and competence. We paid a significantly inflated rate for this stay due to the New Year period. The value received was nowhere near fair or reasonable. Frankly, we would have been better off in the most basic accommodation imaginable than enduring the humiliating, unhealthy, and disrespectful conditions imposed on us at this hotel. This experience is a serious stain on the Novotel brand, which has historically delivered at least a consistent, dependable standard of service—particularly in Europe. I am documenting this experience not out of exaggeration, but out of genuine anger and disappointment, to warn prospective guests so they can make an informed decision before choosing Novotel Parramatta. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this hotel under any circumstances.
