Hotel is very dated & in need of update & repairs. Room had very strong smell of paint. Mould and rust present in the bathroom. No screen on the window. Aircon was noisy. No basic provisions in the room - needed to order room service to get a bottle of water which cost $17 for 2 bottles. Hallway was very dark with limited lighting & the carpet stained & ripped. The room was clean & neatly presented though.

I stayed here for a conference, attended with my husband in tow. It was a great place for accessing the local restaurants. Staff were friendly and very helpful. He enjoyed getting out an about and exploring Parramatta park etc while the conference facilities were good. It is an easy place for a quick trip to the Blue Mountains one day too. I didn't particularly like the room but it was OK. We paid for an executive room which turned out to be up in the attic with virtually no natural light and certainly no view - I would not do that again! The bathroom renovations have made showering especially awkward and the bathtub is now set too high and very difficult to step out of without slipping even for someone taller. It would be a big problem for someone short! It was convenient and affordable but not as nice as I'd hoped.

Room had no hair dryers, rust in the showers

However, we sincerely apologise for the issues you experienced with the room amenities and bathroom condition. A hair dryer should have been available in your room, and we regret this oversight. We regularly stay at the Novotel Sydney Parramatta. We are always greeting with warm friendly service by all staff from the reception to the bar and restaurant (especially Lee). Rooms are clean, service exceptional. Can't fault it.

It was ok but I could not have air cond on as it was too noisy whilst sleeping and the toilet seat was broken, also external noise as well
