Smelly hotel, bathroom fan range for all of my stay, I reported it but nothing happened

Super cheap accom, basic (as expected for the price) but perfect if you just need somewhere to sleep. Good spot right off the m4 - perfect for a quick getaway out of Sydney the next day. Feels safe. Cheap parking. Have now stayed there several times.

1. you have recently started charging for parking that was always free previously. I suppose that is to pay for the new security guard, and fair enough, but I had lugged all of my luggage in and was then asked to go back out to my vehicle to place a small parking token in the car. A small annoyance, true, but then... 2. There were ants in my room, a small annoyance, but then... 3. The spring-loaded roller latch for the toilet door stuck out too far for the roller to roll over the edge of the catch plate. I could shut it from outside, but not from inside as, when inside the bathroom, you can't push the roller latch into its cavity as the architrave gets in the way. Hence, I couldn't shut the bathroom door (If the smoke alarm went off while I was showering, I would have demonstrated this and insisted that the establishment pay the bill). Thankfully, this time, it was only a small annoyance. 4. The toilet flush buttons did not work properly. It took about 4 attempts, holding both buttons down in different sequences, to get the flush water to release. A small annoyance (Room 253 - might be something a plumber should look at). 5. The ring at the bottom of the window shutter had snapped. It could not hold itself down shut against the tension of the blind's spring roller drum. I had to use one of the room's coathangers, bending the metal bar slightly (sorry) and using the trousers clips to anchor the holland blind down so that I could have some privacy. A bit more than a small annoyance, but still not too bad. So, I nearly got what I paid for - I know that it is a budget hotel, and I don't need any frills, but these little niggles, these small annoyances, have caused me to give you this less than optimum score. The good thing is that these are all just issues of process and maintenance, and can all be reviewed/fixed easily enough. The bed was comfortable and the Aircon worked well. The attendant was polite and efficient.

old small room, infested with insect, ref was not working, moved from a room with AC was not working, poor stinyg breakfast

You had stayed with us for more than a week with everyday breakfast; i am surprised to see such feedback, you could have raise with us so we could offer you our hot breakfast as displayed. Upon follow up with the room we found fridge was definitely working and probably the window was left wide open that's why insects might had come in. Please note Our housekeeping team continuously spray the pesticides before our room is released. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. The necessities were there and the location pretty good. But there wasn’t cups for 3 people, the milk in the fridge was frozen, there was nowhere for towels to dry and cockroaches running around. No lock on the bathroom, and the step down was dangerously high. I appreciated it since there isn’t many budget options in Sydney, but it still felt expensive for what was offered.
