Decent budget hotel with the advantage of an Electric car charger in the car park. Unfortunately and without notice the restaurent is closed. There aren't any alternatives within walking distance and after a long drive we needed some substatial food. So the owners should be aware that this unreliability will cost them my business in future.

The only good thing about this hotel was the 24 hour reception. We were travelling to Calais through the evening and didn't know when we'd arrive. That, and the proximity to the ferry port. There was no lift so we were offered a ground floor room as we had heavy luggage. The room was tiny and run down. Laminate floor covered in some kind of sticky black substance. Furniture old and chipped. Weird kind of extention plug that didn't fit anything. Bathroom fittings were really old and under the sink there was a large amount of thick dust on the pipes. Car park didn't seem completely secure and the area around felt menacing. Sheets were clean. We came we slept for a few hours and we left. In between our car didn't get robbed so I guess it served its purpose.

Very comfortable room with excellent facilities. We enjoyed the evening meal in the adjoining restaurant and the breakfast was excellent. Perfect start to our journey. We have stayed at Ibis Car Ferry many times and have never been disappointed.
