We stayed one night in a joining family room which was really nice and well equipped. Great location with plenty of public parking directly opposite (some very limited number of hotel parking). Great location (lots to see within walking distance) and very easy to reach from Calais. Breakfast was included and for us was nice. However, the breakfast area is quite small and during busy times could be uncomfortable. During our visit it was not a problem.

The hotel, rooms and facilities were good. The staff were helpful, pleasant and polite Breakfasts were good and plentiful. There was an issue with parking that I complained about when at the hotel. I had asked for and promised parking in the private car park. This was not available when we arrived and for our second night. The staff were apologetic and offered discount on our stay as we had had to use the pay car park opposite the hotel. So yes it was resolved albeit I had to unexpectedly use public parking.

We checked in late at 1am and the window was open. Despite the fresh air, the room clearly smelt of drains. The smell was quite overwhelming. The room was very dusty and not well maintained. The bathroom door had some damaged wood, no bin liner in the kitchen bin, the sofa bed made with a sheet too short. However, the night manager was lovely.
