perfect location for the main A16 along to Belgium, quiete location apart from fire door banging (next to reception as well) until early hours

We stayed in Ibis Budget hotels in Caen and Abbeville in the summer whilst travelling to Brittany and back, both of which were satisfactory. However, this hotel is extremely “tired” and tatty. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable, resulting in a disturbed night’s sleep. The staff were speaking so loudly in the reception/corridor between approximately 6am and 6.45am that they woke our child! The only redeeming feature was that the receptionist was helpful when we booked in.

The concierge were lovely and the room comfortable and warm. The shower was powerful. However, the fire doors were open all the time with wedges which was a concern.
