It was Not a Good experience that we expected staying at the Mecure St Omer. - In general the whole hotel was not warm enough. - Our bedroom hardly got warm. - The dinning room was TOO COLD. People were having to wear extra clothing eg Fleeces I would have got got my wife and extra coat from the car, which was parked across the road, but it was raining heavily and the temp was 0 C. So she told me not to get soaked. - We chose the Discovery Menu, as we have enjoyed excellent cooking at other Mecure hotels . It could have been good / excellent. However, the chips my wife had were looked awful made from poor quality potatoes and were not nice. The steak although looked good was very tough. I had the Chicken Ballotine, which could have been lovely but was over cooked and dry and the pasta was slightly under cooked. - The deserts were very pleasant. An OBSERVATION You Need a Better chef who looks carefully at the produce he chose and then cooks it correctly. - Breakfast. A good choice of things. However, Yogurt , jams etc... were extremely slow be replaced and customers had to ask staff to replace when they had been empty for over 10 mins. During the previous 5 days we had stayed in 5 hotels in France and Luxembourg. All were a very pleasant experience and better value. WE sadly would Not Recommend Mecure St Omer. Not what we expected from Mecure.
