Nice hotel with friendly staff, stayed for two nights when passed to get animal health certification completed. Vets close by, but charge €30 for the dog to stay, but nothing provided for that! Good food in the evening, although we didn’t have breakfast at €20 each seems expensive. Secured parking at rear was also charged.

Regarding the additional charge for pets, this fee covers the extra cleaning required after accommodating an animal in the room, in order to maintain the same high standards of cleanliness and comfort for all our guests. Our breakfast is 20€ per person and consists of a generous hot and cold continental buffet, with both sweet and savoury options, including a selection of local products. We are sorry that you felt the price was too high and hope you might have the opportunity to try it during a future stay. As for the parking, it is a secure, private car park reserved exclusively for hotel guests, which is why a charge applies. Thank you again for your comments. My main gripe is that there was only one person on reception which meant that we had to wait for his return as he was away from the desk doing something, when he did return he was on the phone so our check in was delayed by quite some time. To make matters worse, there were two people who were obviously staff sitting at a nearby table with their laptops open. There was a queue forming and they did nothing to help Secondly, I requested by email that a single bed should be made up in our family room, it wasn’t. It was also quite uncomfortable and squeaked every time I moved. Finally there was no shower gel in the dispenser Breakfast was of a reasonable standard

As explained by our reception team on the day of your arrival, the room initially assigned to you was unfortunately not ready. In order to avoid making you wait and to provide you with a room immediately, we arranged a change of room at the last minute. As a result of this change, the additional single bed you had requested by email had not yet been prepared in the new room. As soon as this was brought to our attention, our housekeeping team came directly to the room to set up the bed. We do, however, sincerely apologise for this inconvenience, as well as for the discomfort caused by the bed and the missing shower gel. Regarding the delay at reception, we regret that you had to wait and understand your frustration. We have taken note of your comments regarding the organisation at the front desk and will ensure that they are addressed with the team. We are pleased to hear that you found our breakfast to be of a reasonable standard, and we appreciate your constructive feedback, which helps us improve our service. We have been staring at this hotel for years and it's lovely. Great staff, clean rooms, amazing breakfast. However they have recently started using unpleasant mattress covers. In July we arrived late and didn't realise. Neither of us slept well and comparing notes in the morning we were both clammy and damp. That's the point we discovered the mattress cover. Stayed again and removed the cover and everything was back to normal. Good nights sleep for both of us. Just be aware and make sure to take the cover off before you go to bed.

So I arrive on motorcycle around 1pm to avoid the heavy rain forecast only to told ‘you’re early, it’s 2pm check in unless you pay another 30 euro’!! There’s no signs telling me where the car park is, I now know it’s around the back. The staff suggested it’s secure but the gate remained open all night at a ridiculous cost of an additional 12 euro… the cost is already expensive for a room at over 150 euro and it just keep on mounting up!!! And finally the location is poor it’s so unfortunate the area around the hotel is so run down. The best Ibis in town is the one in the town centre and far less expensive that this Mecure Hotel, I wouldn’t stop here again…
