Ideal location for Eurotunnel. The place was clean, excellent value and a reasonable breakfast. Only downside was noisy inconsiderate guests in the early hours.

Stopped one night, we are a family of four, so needed two rooms. Our kids are 6 and 9. We arrived, checked in and had got two rooms across the hall from each other. It’s not a hotel to spend time in - so went out to nearby restaurants and shopping centre. Room serves its purpose, double bed with bunk over the top. Each room has a sink, but toilets are shared, plastic portaloo style cubicles at the end of the hall. The beds are firm and have a plastic wrapped mattress. On the night of our stay, other families were divided between rooms and there was a fair bit of checking on each other (opening and closing of doors). BUT, these two rooms combined were cheaper than any other on our trip round Europe. Breakfast again, is functional. Nice coffee, orange juice, cereal, brioche, baguettes, toaster. It was good value without being fancy.

Like sleeping in an old lunch box but its clean and handy for the ferry.

It's clean, it's handy for the ferry. We were on the ground floor. Some of the toilets are out of order. Some of the rooms smelt of smoke, and it felt weird leaving the windows open as the latch system was poor. It needs a bit of TLC.

Overall very good value and enjoyable. I would definitely stay there again.

After initial confusion at the self check-in and a little help from another guest, everything went perfectly. The facilities were clean and confortable. It was ideally located and very easy to find. The staff on reception the following morning was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend to anyone wanting a short stopover and would certainly use again.

Easy check in. Good sleep. Clean & tidy. Safe & secure. Car parked easy & safe. Has improved over the 20 years we have used F1. Sadly there is Still a problem with smoking outside of the bedroom windows so you can’t open the window as you get smoke in your face :( This problem could be fixed by a non smoking policy inside & outside the premises.

We use this hotel quite regularly over the last years for travelling to and from UK. It is very basic already but now they no longer provide towels. They can be purchased at reception but we arrived very late and didn’t see it in the confirmation as right at the bottom. Had to dry myself with a T-shirt, not impressed. I think it’s time for a change of hotel as toilets on corridors are usually quite smelly and not nice to use in the night!

On arriving in the UK I found an illegal immigrant in my trailer, my wife said she saw romanians from the van parked next to my car and trailer acting suspiciously in the early hours of the mornig. I have no proof but it was the only time the trailer was left unaiiended.

The outside check in machine did not work. Fortunately there was someone at reception to check us in. However, he gave us our room numbers and codes and then disappeared (it was abojt 10pm). We realised that one of the room codes did not work. Noone on reception to help us. You can't call the hotel number from a britsh phone. I had to find someone with a french phone to call it. Only the reception phone rang and there was noone to answer. I started to shout for help. That angered a parent whose child had just fallen asleep but at least the reception man heard me. He had to unlock the door with a key so we cohld finally get access. The lock still didnt work with the code so we had to make sure someone was always in the room to be able to have access to it. Showers and toilets are too old and need an upgrade. The sink in the toilet was filthy. The beds are so hard i woke up with a sore back. There was a room with just kids across the corridor who made a racket until 3am. Myself and anotger person knocked on their door which silenced them for a short while but they continued afterwards. Noone from the hotel intervened.

When I arrived, I thought about finding another place to sleep. But I didn’t, and I kind of regret that. With F1, you don’t expect much. That’s why it is cheap. This one took the standard to another level. And not in a good way. It was the experience of NO: No reception No lock on the door No shower No toilet (a shared toilet in an old cheap French motel? No thank you) No towels! (But the bedsheets did the trick) No comfortable mattress No clean bedsheets Which leads to: never again!

Good overall, but I am concerned that this hotel is not being maintained properly for two reasons: 1. The number of shower units out of action (about 1/3) 2. The gate was not closed at night so presumably broken.

We were welcomed by karim .he showed us everything we needed to know and helped us with our stay in france .we were so impressed with how clean and tidy the hotel was .he told us where is good to eat locally also where the supermarkets were etc very helpful

We had tried to check in online and it failed, so we couldn’t. Arrived late at night at the hotel, the touch screen was not working, card reader not working and no way of getting the code to access the car park or hotel. Eventually after several attempts, the emergency number got an answer and he gave us the room number and access code. Got in to find the room had elements held together with orange tape and a weird smell. I would not recommend a stay here.

For the price of an overnight stay, it was not too bad, being clean in the room and the shower and toilet. But the one important item that was missing was a kettle to make hot drinks., which taste so much better than those from a. ending machine. When I booked, there was no mention that towels are not provided and have to be purchased then thrown away once used.........no environmentally acceptable. Fortunately I brought my own, but otherwise could have been caught out. So it is important for future clients that they are informed no kettle provided to make own drinks and no towels provided.

We arrived late, around 11pm. Nobody around for us to get our bearings. We paid for two rooms, the rooms were cold upon arrival but we quickly put the radiators on and soon the rooms were warm. Some of the loos were dirty but the shower that I used appeared clean.
