The check-in experience was disappointing, with staff reluctantly providing information when I asked about housekeeping and room service. Throughout my 7-day stay, there was no warm welcome from anyone, and the room lacked both a microwave and visible drinking glasses. I stayed here solely because it was chosen for my training week, but I wouldn’t recommend it. I requested clean towels only twice, opting out of housekeeping by placing the sign on the door. However, I haven’t seen any reward points added to my Accor account, despite the card stating I’d earn 100 points each time I did so.

Just an overnight stop but wished it was longer. The room, a single Queen as I was travelling solo was on 5th floor. Quiet, view of the Lake, the room has everything you need and fabulous lighting. From dim to bright for rest or reading, tv in great location, bed quality excellent. Car park very convenient. Front desk staff helpful and welcoming. Did I mention how clean the rooms are?? Again! Lovely furnishings, a comfortable, well thought out and spacious room.The hotel itself is 'self contained' with restaurant via a doorway and hall to the Labor Club. Everything there meant I didn't need to go outside at all which suited me for an overnight but the area is so easy to get around, location is quiet, but has everything. I travelled from Sydney and from Northborne ave it's just a pleasant 10 minute drive to the hotel. There is 5 minute drop off parking right at the door so you can book in get organised and t hen move around the corner to the hotel car park entry. everything is easy!

Disappointed in standard of food available at the Labor Club inc their use of imported food when there is better local products available (eg offering only imported Lurpac margarine/butter instead of Australian real butter at breakfast (we were only able to get real butter when we specifically asked for it!).

Mercure certainly is a suprising hotel. We were expecting a standard budget hotel but kept getting pleasantly surprised by this establishment. The bed and pillows were great quality,the room was spacious with ceiling to floor windows. The fitout of the bathroom was excellent with separate private closed off areas for the shower and the toilet set in a comfortable sized bathroom with bathtub.The sheets and towels surpassed our expectations and were of a great quality.The kitchenette was well equipped with a large fridge,but alas no freezer. The staff were very friendly helpful and professional ensuring we had a comfortable stay. Looking forward to returning next year for our annual Canberra stay.

I spent 6 days at the Mercure Belconnen, have stayed there before as well. Good modern hotel with a good vibe. Enjoyed the free breakfast (although the selection of choices seems to be the same everyday), the Gym is bright and well equipped making it a pleasant experience. The parking is easy and not too costly (I was offered partial complimentary parking). The staff are very obliging and polite. Overall, good value for money and a very enjoyable stay. No doubt, I would stay in this hotel in the future too.
