This hotel does not accept cash payments. Nearby Canberra Light Rail construction may cause some noise, though limited so far. We appreciate your understanding. Our pool is closed annually for the winter season from 1 May to 1 September. This seasonal closure allows us to carry out essential maintenance and ensure the facility is in top condition for the warmer months.

As an Accor member, this was a very disappointing experience. When looking for accommodation, the hotel was reportedly full but as a member, we were still able to book. I thought this would be OK; however, the apartment we were offered was not cared for. The verandah had bird droppings all over the tiles and outdoor furniture, the bin was filthy with no liner, the wall behind the bin was stained, the light in the kitchen was faulty and would not stay on and the crockery, cutlery and glasses all had to washed before we could use them as they were also filthy. When we let the lovely assistant know about the light and bin, she informed us that there was no one able to do repairs on the weekend so we used a lamp from the dining area to light the kitchen. The shower recesses were less than clean and the additional blankets stained. We used the tennis court, which was great and were given broken racquets and balls that didn’t bounce. We were hosting guests from Japan so were a little embarrassed at the state of the apartment. I would rather have stayed elsewhere if there was no availability of a decent room but was of the belief that we could be accommodated. Again, not the standard expected.

We will also review the equipment to ensure it is properly maintained and fit for guest use. We particularly regret the embarrassment this caused while you were hosting your guests. At 19 floors up you would expect not to hear the traffic below but we could hear every car go by and its constant. No double glazing here. And if the traffic noise doesn't get to you then the very loud heater may. The lowest fan setting on the air con resembles the sound of an old induction fan. So we either had to freeze or put up with it. The whole family had to purchase ear plugs to sleep at night. The kitchen was severely understocked as well. 2 soup ladles (who is making soup in a rented apartment?) but no spatula and a whole lot of empty cupboards. Also 2 sachets of dishwashing powder for a 3 night stay for a family is not enough. The view was wonderful but with that noise i would not stay there again.
