I was initially quoted $183.20 for the room. When I got there to check in I was told $186z . Then on my credit card was $196.51 . Si was disappointed that my iriginal rate wasnt honoured

My 4 night stay at the Sebel was quite pleasant. The staff were lovely and welcoming. The room was exactly as pictured. It was well cleaned and organised. It unfortunately didn’t have any coat hangers, but when I asked the staff they delivered them within 20 minutes. The mini bar was well priced (for a mini bar) and re stocked daily. My main issue that I had was with the tv and the ability to cast anything to it or watch anything other than the channels provided. Now for a premium tier hotel in the Accor franchise I would have expected better. I note I did not bother staff with this. Finally whilst this hotel doesn’t have any food options the surrounding location of Campbell does have good food options from local cafes and restaurants to more quick take away in Pizza Hut and Asian noodle house. Overall 8/10 if the tv allowed casting 9/10.

My room was not up to standard. Missing light bulbs, faulty TV system, broken clothes rail, and over heated stuffy room. Was promised an upgrade with a balcony, but just got a room on a higher floor. My stay was poor and I wont stay again given the pricing and poor condition of the room. Staff were not that welcoming either

The Sebel Campbell was well located in the new Campbell district with easy walks to a variety of restaurants. The property is quite new, clean and the reception staff were pleasant and efficient. However, there were two matters that need some attention. Firstly, the TV reception is streamed, but the wireless internet in room 512 is inadequate to maintain service with continual dropouts prevalent. Secondly, on checkout at 7am, our key cards were blocked, so we couldn't return the luggage trolley to its location inside the property and couldn't return our key cards. We went to a movie after checking in to the hotel. When we got back to our room it was extremely cold. We tried to turn on the airconditioning to warm it up, but it wasn't operable. As it was after 10.00pm there were no staff members on duty to assist us. The bed had a light doona, and no extra blankets which was disappointing. We tried to sleep in our winter pyjamas but we were too cold. We put on a complete set of trousers and jumpers over our pyjamas but were still too cold. for several hours we walked around to try to warm up, then got back into bed but couldn't sleep. Eventually we both went to sleep after 2.30am and woke at 7am still cold. At 8.00am we advised the staff member at Reception to get her to sort the airconditioner out. She came up to our room and after trying to access the a.c. she said that the window must be open. On arrival at our room the curtains had been pulled across the windows and we had not touched the windows. The staff member pulled the curtains back and and found that one window was slightly ajar. She then then told us that the aircon would not operate with an open window in the room. We feel that it was extremely poor management to have no staff on duty, no notification to check to ensure all windows were closed and no provision of extra blankets, especially with Canberra's overnight temperature close to zero.
