The staff are friendly, but the property is old and in need of some general maintenance.

The hotel was evacuated at 1 am on my first night with fire alarms. No staff were present at the evacuation point. And no one came out to tell us we could come back in. The client had to go in to ask. On my second night the air-conditioner above my bed began leaking onto my pillow and onto power socket. I then have to pack my things and be changed into a different room. On Check out no apologies was made but I was instead asked why I had two different room keys. Very disappointing.

The priority for any stay is a comfortable nights sleep . This was not the case on this stay due to a false fire alarm leading to an evacuation in the middle of the night . As customer safety is critical this could be forgiven if it was an isolated incident however looking at previous hotel reviews it appears there have been a number of such incidents in the past . Having stayed in multiple hotels over 40yrs I have encountered a couple of false fire alarms but this is the only time I have had to evacuate due to a false alarm. The hotel needs to look at this issue firstly through addressing what is leading to the multiple false alarms. Other than this the stay was comfortable , staff were friendly and food in bistro was good quality at a reasonable price . Only other minor issue was there was no recognition of Accor gold membership at check in

Lovely welcome and helpful reception. Rear entrance needs clean up and paint job. Mattress very hard and can feel springs. Pillows too soft. Needs USB outlet. Chromecast to TV impossible to workout.
