Bath room shower hard to adjust

I recently stayed at Novotel Gold District, and while there were a few positive aspects, there are also some important points that management should seriously consider improving. First of all, the hotel location is very good. The connectivity is excellent, transport is easily available, and the overall environment around the property is convenient for tourists and business travelers. Reaching different parts of Dubai is easy, and that is definitely one of the strongest points of this hotel. However, the biggest disappointment was the vegetarian food experience. Since Dubai welcomes a huge number of Indian tourists and guests, I honestly expected much better vegetarian options from a brand like Novotel. During breakfast, there were multiple non-vegetarian dishes available, but for vegetarians there were barely any proper choices. Sometimes there was only one basic veg dish while several non-veg items were served. At the very least, there should be a balanced variety for vegetarian guests as well. There was also no proper live vegetarian counter available. Compared to hotels like DoubleTree by Hilton, the difference is very noticeable. DoubleTree provides much better vegetarian portions, better variety, and overall a far more satisfying experience for Indian vegetarian guests. Unfortunately, across different Novotel properties in Dubai, I have consistently had a poor experience when it comes to vegetarian food. Another issue that seriously shocked me happened during check-in day. I called room service and simply requested one plate and one spoon. To my surprise, I was informed that I would need to pay an extra AED 15 service charge before they could provide it. Honestly, this felt extremely unreasonable. Dubai is known worldwide for hospitality and welcoming tourists, so charging extra just for a plate and spoon inside a hotel room was very disappointing. This is not a luxury request — it is a very basic guest necessity. I believe this is a serious matter that management should review carefully because it leaves a very negative impression on guests. My stays are usually with Novotel, Mercure, or DoubleTree properties, so this feedback comes from genuine travel experience and comparison. While the hotel has a great location and decent connectivity, the vegetarian food quality and the room service experience need major improvement. I truly hope the management takes this feedback positively and works on these areas for future guests, especially Indian vegetarian travelers.
