Staff was helpful and kind, and the room was comfortable. I appreciate the upgrade! My onlg feedback is that there seemed to be a few bugs (mosquito?) in the room and the toilet flush was a bit weird - but none of that affected the service and amenities I had during my stay.

Mosquito in the room. Sink was blocked. I asked for it to be repaired but it was not fixed.

Great hotel and amenities, though staff could have some better training and learn how to come forward with solutions. One issue, I did not know that I could not bring a carton box in the room, instead of explaining, the manager/acting head there said: "Why don't you go on the Municipality website and ask them why they dont want it in the room". Secondly, I was orginally supposed to be at Mercure or Adagio (All Accor hotels), and when I booked Mercure, they did not say that we were being redirected to Novotel for whatever reason. I arrived to an empty (no staff and lights out) at 5:30. and was told to walk to Novotel. I had 4 pieces of luggages. I had to literally insist to be accompanied to Novotel.

We're sorry to hear that our service didn't fully meet your expectations and we receive a score of 70/100. Allow me to inform you that as per the hotel policies we do not restrict guests from carrying Carton boxes to their room for packing we strictly do not allow it. We have encountered damage issues and pest issues in the past and hence restrict such packaging. In regards to your booking that was booked in Mercure Dubai Gold District, Due to the current situations we have not closed the hotel. However we have received limited of arrivals and instead we have upgraded your hotel to our 4 star hotel to have more comfortable stay during this time we are facing. And it was saddened that you were not been assisted with your luggage. The entire team aims to provide the most excellent customer service to our guests and carry our business with high standards & etiquette. I believed that the Manager on Duty had met you and as service recovery was given you complimentary Early check in at 5:30 Am and Upgrade to one of the Family Suite. It was so sad that you left unhappy. I have also shared your other remarks with the concerned team who I am certain will take the appropriate measures to address your concern and prevent any future occurrences of such.
