Usual Ibis Styles funky decor. Car park a massive plus. Location OK, you can use the (very cheap) shuttle boat to cross the harbour to the centre. Let down by the breakfast. Unless you are early many items (both foodstuffs e.g scrambled egg and crockery e.g. cereal bowls) will have run out and they do not get replenished.

We stayed 6 nights and used the hotel as a base for exploring the city and islands. It is a well run hotel, modern and has clean, comfortable rooms. Located a short bicycle ride from the old port, with public bikes just outside the hotel entrance. You can walk to the beach or city in about 15 minutes. Car parking in a secure underground garage at a reasonable rate.

Dear Martin, Thank you very much for your kind and detailed review! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your six-night stay and found our hotel to be a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the city and the islands. We’re also pleased that you appreciated the modern and clean rooms, the convenient location, the public bikes nearby, and our secure underground parking. It was a pleasure having you with us, and we hope to welcome you back on your next visit! Best regards, Margot - Front office manager

We stayed with you as we were in La Rochelle for a Ten Pin Bowling tournament. The hotel is ideally situated for the Bowling Alley. The breakfast was very good, catering for everyone. The room was very comfortable and the shower was superb. One thing we missed was a kettle and tea/coffee in the room.

The hotel is a bit further from the centre but the discounted price makes the stay totally worth the while. On site parking was plus for us, and great variety during breakfast

We stayed here on our way through France.Unfortunately we did not see at a lot of La Rochelle due to the extreme heat.Thankfully the hotel had aircon which made our stay far more bearable. The hotel decor was very quirky as are most of the chain. Great breakfast with excellent choice.

good location - close to the university. friendly staff.
