Located on the old harbour, you just park and walk. The staff is very welcoming and efficient. The hotel is now under restauration and should reopen in the summer 2023

I have to say that we were very disappointed with the size of our privilege room- number 439. Over time we have used many privilege rooms in both Mercure and Novotel Hotels and this must go down as the smallest we have ever had Before the onset of covid the privilege rooms we had facing the Aquarium were alright.It was interesting to note that room 439 was the only one in the corridor marked as privilege and the same size as the normal room we had for our stay in October last. Moving on, like our,last visit we must complement the excellent food we had at dinner the Tuesday evening and very professional service by your team.Thank you . Regards Peter D.

We stayed there 3nights in March 22. Friendly service personnel. We might come back in a year or two. But then an electric charging station would be required.

Always very friendly staff to greet my wife and I, plus our pet labrador Otis. The stay was brief but enjoyable. The hotel is situated perfectly at the edge of the harbour/marina, with a car park that is easy to access and secure, which is important to us.

We needed room to park two vehicles safely and to be near the centre of La Rochelle, which is what the Mercure has. The two receptionists could not have been more efficient or helpful. When we had a leak in our bathroom, we were immediately moved to an alternative room with a larger bed. The second room, was of the standard we would expect for the price (311). The first room (420), was so small, we had limited room to walk around and nowhere to put our bags.

This is a much overpriced Mercure the small rooms are not good, Dieppe has. Large rooms with a sea view a much better hotel. This hotel rates well as an Ibis. Although the positives are staff are excellent as is the breakfast, the location is good. The extra price for the port view is atrocious as really there is not an advantage as the town cleaner pressure washes the equipment outside the hotel at 7.0 clock, so early start whether you like it or not. The car park is good easy access and safe. Not really worth the extra money, but there is little choice if you drive!! Overall we had a good stay with the reservations as above. Would we come again to this hotel probably yes in the winter, not in the summer.

Booked for a special birthday...it wasnt what I was expecting...hotel is tired and lacks atmosphere.. Rooms are ridiculously small and badly designed.. Our room in particular was not properly cleaned...found rubbish in the bathroom and under the bed! Staff were top notch though and restaurant was excellent

The hotel is superbly located, a stone's throw from the Vieux Port. The car park is an added bonus. A short walk to the centre of town and great bars, restaurants abnd cafés. The view of the port from the breakfastroom is delightful. Our room was beautiful, recently re-done and the showr room was excellent, with stylish fittings. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

The staff was great, especially the head bartender. We celebrated our 25th Anniversary, and he helped make it special. For the hotel, breakfast was adequate and hotel was clean but being by the sea it certainly will be difficult with people with sensitivities to mold. The air conditioner in our room absolutely could not cool the small European style room. Opening the window was a different problem that introduced the noise of drunks wandering about the harbor until 5 AM in the morning. Finally, the billing system for Accor is very confusing. It certainly created some anxiety at check out.

We have stayed a number of times here. Well situated with free on site parking. The rooms and bathrooms are a more compact than most other Mercure hotels but adequate. The once fashionable bathroom is now looking dated and would benefit with updating, the fittings in our room had lost their chromium finish and looked jaded. Breakfast in the panoramic restaurant was the usual wide choice of products. One large retrograde step is the change of coffee machine. The previous one served excellent coffee. The new one serves a warm brown liquid with no discernable taste. AVOID ! Overall a good stay and we will be staying again, despite the new coffee machine, hopefully it will have gone.

Have stayed before. Well situated near to the town, about 5 minutes walk away. Plenty of free parking on site. We had a privilege room, a bit smaller than some Mercures but fine. Staff very good. Breakfast, despite the covid problems, was very good, extremely well organised and the full fare was available. Look forward to our next stay.

a lovely place to stay BUT

We booked this hotel a week before our stay and booked it because it had private parking. We asked for a parking space when we booked.The day before our arrival we were informed that parking was not available as the Tour de France was passing through and that was to be given priority. We did find parking in a public car park - and had to pay 15 euro for it- but were disappointed we were not told when we booked The service from Accor is usually much better than that, especially as we are Gold Loyalty card holders.
