Great friendly staff, restaurant has limited menu yet it’s tasty and quick service. Hotel has good facilities but we didn’t use them due to late arrival. Convenient location for exploring and has a car park nearby with low overnight fees if your vehicle is too tall for their car park. The only minus is the Lighting is too dim for me in the room, it’s hard to find the switches on entering other than that clean comfy beds and pillows and strong shower.

Clean, bright spacious accommodation with all necessary amenities in the room apart from a hairdryer (available on request from reception free of charge). Well-stocked bar, reasonably priced; food menu - good choice, price, and portions. Only complaint - free Wifi not secure so could not check emails, book train tickets, etc. Other than that I can highly recommend this hotel - the large pool is an extra bonus, especially for summer stays. Too cold to have a dip in November.

I stayed at the Ibis Budget La Rochelle back in May 2025 and was pleasantly surprised by how much it offered for the price. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made check-in and the overall stay really enjoyable. The rooms are clean, modern, and basic — exactly what you’d expect from a budget hotel, but well maintained and comfortable. I especially liked the bar and chill-out area, which had a relaxed vibe and even showed live sports — perfect for unwinding in the evening. The pool area was another highlight, really well kept and a great spot to relax after exploring the city. The location is decent — a bit of a walk to the main attractions, but no more than 10 minutes to most places, so still very convenient. Overall, this is a great budget hotel with everything you need for a short stay in La Rochelle. I’ll definitely be returning on my next visit!
