We stayed at this hotel for four nights towards the end of September. We had a double room where there were complementary cold drinks and a sofa. It was situated at the rear of the hotel on the fifth floor. The room was very comfortable, as was the bed. Everything was clean and the water fountains on each floor were an unexpected bonus. Also the coffee pod machine, for a proper coffee each morning. We didn’t have breakfast as all we ever want is a croissant and a bit of fruit, which were easily found close by. The hotel is located inside the park, so it is lovely and quiet, whilst being a 10 minute walk to the sea and the harbour. We found that walking home at 9.30/10 pm was not a problem along the road through the park, although I wouldn’t have walked the paths at that time in the dark, on my own. (But that is just me).

The rooms are well laid out with a very comfortable bed. We were able to leave the car in the car park the next day until the afternoon , which gave us time to explore the city without worrying about parking. I would certainly use this hotel again.

I like that the hotel has a free parking and good restaurant. Our phone in the room did not work as we expected. We have tried to reach the front desk from the room but phone buttons were not programmed and 0 did not work as well. Restaurant service was not good but the breakfast was very good. In general we liked the hotel and I would recommend it.

I had to stay here at the last minute, look it was not a great experience and for the price it should’ve been a hell if a lot better!

Good afternoon Mister P., Thank you for taking time to share your feedback following your stay at our hotel. We are sorry to learn that your stay did not fully meet your expectations. As our reception is open 24 hours a day, we were indeed able to accommodate your last-minute booking. However, we regret the inconvenience caused by the odor you noticed in your room. Had you mentioned this to us upon arrival, our team would certainly have been available to find a solution and make your stay more comfortable. Regarding the bedding, our hotel uses the Novotel range, featuring ergonomic mattresses that meet the brand's standards. We recognize, however, that the comfort of a bed can be perceived differently depending on individual habits and preferences. We are surprised by your rating regarding the Wi-Fi, as technical improvements were made to our network a few months ago. Despite this, we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to our hotel and providing you with a fully satisfactory experience during a future stay. Kind regards. Novotel la Rochelle
