We had a nice stay at the Ibis in La Rochelle. Our room was very comfortable, the curtains blocked out the light completely and the aircon worked well. We did have some trouble with one of the reception staff - I didn't get her name but she was an older woman. On our last day we asked if she could call us a taxi to take us to the train station but she was very reluctant and it wasn't until I told her my husband was disabled that she agreed to call. She tried 2 places but couldn't get through and was reluctant to try again. Thankfully there was a guest in reception who was also going to the train station and they were calling a taxi for themselves and said we could go with them. Given that a different member of staff had kindly called a taxi for us on a different day we were surprised this member of staff was so reluctant and it soured the end of our stay. This aside I'd recommend this Ibis for a quiet and comfortable stay in a good location.
