We haves stayed here every year for the last 5 years. This time we arrive to find that the restaurant was closed which we hadn’t received any notice about. We asked if we could get a drink at the bar and were told that the bar was also closed. Not good when you arrive at 6pm having driven all day to then have to find somewhere to eat. Luckily we had some drinks with us. Others didn’t! Receptionist was not helpful at all. Just sat there on her mobile phone. No reason why somebody couldnt have served drinks. A couple that arrived after us asked the receptionist what restaurants were available and was told I don’t know you’ll just have to go in to Chartres and find one. The hotel itself is clean and well kept which is why we chose to stay here. The previous staff when it was a Kyriad were very welcoming and helpful.
