Disappointing stay

On arrival our room was cold. Reception provided us with a separate electric heater. The chicken satay that I had in the restaurant was very poor but my wife's pasta was good. I don't think we shall stay at the Chartres Novotel again.

overall ok,however: - no plate to show access to Novotel at the entrance to the parking,looks anonymous - windows: all wet in the morning, suppose new frames have to be placed, also to avoid the traffic noise - coffee machine did not work - no scrambled eggs available: we informed your staff about this

Chartres was the perfect place to break the journey home. We spent a lovely day wandering around and seeing the beautiful cathedral. The hotel was in a convenient location for the motorways and a short drive from the town centre.

A very pleasant and relaxing stay in a conveniently located recently extended hotel. A good restaurant but with a very restricted menu for a hotel of this size. The bar service was somewhat slow as was the service at breakfast.

We have stayed at this hotel four times on our visits to Chartres. Clean, comfortable rooms. All of the staff make you very welcome at desk, bar and in the restaurant. Excellent breakfast. Quiet. Ten minute drive to centre and cathedral. Will stay again.
