The accomodation was fine but the restaurant was closed due to renovation. We had not been advised of this either at the time of booking or subsequently.

OK, but hotel was in the process of being renovated.

Usually it is a satisfactory stay for one night. But this time only one towel for two people and the soap dispenser in the shower was empty. Also the pillows were not comfortable.

The Accor app doesn't give any indication of the extensive renovation works taking place.

We use Accor Hotels regularly and have done so for many years with us staying in the group’s hotels over 100 times. We chose this hotel which was more expensive than others because on the website it stated there was a bar and restaurant with enticing photos. When we arrived the restaurant and bar were closed as the hotel is mid renovation. We did eat in the converted conference room with tables set up there pretending to be a restaurant - but the service was appalling although the staff polite. Clearly the check in staff double up working in the converted restaurant as the main restaurant and bar are closed. We had to ask for a knife and fork so my wife could eat her meal and placing our food order took a ridiculous length of time as no one took our order for ages. Our bedroom was tired and without doubt this was the worst Accor Hotel we have stayed in. If a hotel is mid renovation with facilities closed - this should be detailed on the website so customers have the choice as to whether they wish to stay or not. By pretending to offer facilities which are not available is not just an mis-description but a deliberate decision to get bookings knowing full well that the hotel can’t deliver. Extremely disappointed - not with the staff who tried their best but with the management who clearly have decided to operate such a policy obtaining money from customers knowing full well they couldn’t deliver what was promised.
