This is one of the best Ibis hotels I have used. There are some great extra features such as a comfortable lounge area and access to tea and coffee in the lounge area. The receptionist provided an amazing level of service and efficiently dealt with all requests

Need a lift as too many stairs for us older people !

Notre établissement ne dispose malheureusement pas d’ascenseur, et nous sommes désolés que cela ait pu rendre votre séjour moins confortable. Room wasn't ready when we arrived late afternoon. Car park was full when we returned later. Adjoining door wouldn't open. Generally felt a bit run down.

We booked a superior room with 1 double bed, described as “a spacious room designed for two people. The room has a large double bed and a lounge area with sofa. Air-conditioned room, bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Courtesy tray with unlimited coffee and tea.” On arriving at reception we were given the keycard to a classic(standard room). We returned to reception to explain that we had a confirmation email (30 May) of booking a Superior Room. The receptionists insisted that we had booked and paid for a Classic room as the room we were describing did not exist in that hotel. On showing them our confirmation email they did not understand how it was possible for us to have booked such a room. This was a very disappointing response and no suggestion of financial compensation or gesture of goodwill was forthcoming given that we had paid a premium price and were allocated a Classic Room. We have been members of the Accor loyalty program for many years and this unfortunately was our first and hopefully last negative experience.

Dear Ms O., Thank you for taking the time to share your experience; we sincerely regret the disappointment you experienced during your stay. As discussed with you, and following verification with our reception team and a review of your booking details, we can confirm that the room you booked and the rate you paid were indeed for a Classic room. No surcharge was applied for a higher room category. The category above the Classic room is the Family room, which offers more spacious accommodation and additional amenities, such as a courtesy tray with coffee and tea, as you mentioned. Previous bookings made via your Accor loyalty account were also for Classic rooms, which confirms that the rate applied during your last stay did indeed correspond to the room category booked. However, we understand your confusion regarding the description in your confirmation email. This appears to be taken from a generic description which, unfortunately, does not correspond to the category you chose. We apologise for this confusion, which was beyond our control, and will ensure it is brought to the relevant attention to prevent this situation from happening again. As the room allocated was indeed the one you had booked and the rate paid corresponded to that category, we are unfortunately unable to offer any financial compensation. We nevertheless hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back and invite you, on a future stay, to try our Family Room if you would like to enjoy a more comfortable space and the additional facilities you mentioned. This room looked exactly as illustrated. There was very good storage and good aircon which was invaluable during the heatwave whilst we were staying. The shower was good as were the towels plus the bed was comfortable with good bedding. Breakfast, which was included with our room booking, was surprisingly good with fresh fruit, cereals, pastries and a good selection of breads, meat, cheese and boiled eggs. There was fresh leaf teas in addition to the coffee machine and several juices. Reception and check in was great and nothing was too much trouble. The number 6 bus leaves from just around the corner into town and a large ALDI is close by for any self-catering requirements. No smart tv or ability to watch tv in any language other than French.

As always the staff at this Ibis Styles are warm, friendly and very welcoming. The rooms are clean but the smell in them was extremely strong - slight aftershave tones to whatever had been used to clean them or freshen the air. Ibis please take note - it's so strong that I got a headache. This is not really acceptable.
