The room was very nice, the hotel staff friendly and helpful, the location quiet yet convenient to tram, Centraal, and tons of good restaurants. I was impressed that the a/c was able to keep up with the unseasonable heat! The breakfast was less than expected at this price point in both variety and quality. The lounge is just not laid out well for a breakfast service, lacking e.g. warming tables. This trend for making the bathroom decor dark with no good lighting over the mirror is just weird. Final complaint: the tv interface was torture to use. But overall a very nice establishment. Would stay again, and recommend.

1. I booked four rooms for myself and 3 colleagues. The receptionist at the front desk had a very surly attitude when my colle.agues rerquested that their rooms be put under their names for invoicing reasons. One of the rooms had been booked for 2 nights and we requested to change it to one night . As a platinum ALL card holder this should have been possible as we were giving more than 24hrs notice, but we were told otherwise. 2. I requested that my room be cleaned (notice on doorhandle). It wasn't 3. I asked reception for a restaurant recommendation. I was given a list - I asked reception to call and reserve. They said it wouldn't be necessary. Fortunately I insisted. The restaurant was closed 4. When it came to check out, all the information that had been given at check-in had been put against the wrong rooms so much time was lost trying to solve this. 5. Otherwise, the hotel is pleasant though the rooms and bathrooms are very dark, and there is nowhere to put suitcases or to store clothes in them
