Very good location, spacious room with large windows, comfortable beds and a basic but fresh breakfast. But when we reached back to the hotelroom very late at night, while it was freezing cold outside, we noticed that the heating system in the room was not working, despite being set at 27 degrees. We waited a while, but it only made a lot of noise, and did not generate any heat. We didn’t go to the reception in the middle of the night, thinking there would not be a mechanic at hand. Around 3am we switched ot off, because next to the cold the loud noise kept us awake. We had a very unpleasant night, staying cold despite putting our dayclothes back on and using a second duvet. At checkout staff mentioned that they had someone available 24 hrs to fix things, but we didn’t come to reception in the middle of the night. Maybe we should have. But what disappoints us a lot is that no one responded to our complaint e-mail (I am now waiting over 3 weeks for a reply). 150€ a night is not a small amount of money to pay for such a bad night of sleep. But as long as equipment works: just stay there, and you’ll most likely have a good stay.

Our stay was very enjoyable and the staff was friendly and professional. However we missed a proper dustbin in the room. The small bin in the bathroom was not sufficient. Even upon request it was not available. We are currently in Ibis Styles Amsterdam and have two proper bins.
