Well located in Rotterdam and helped by its staff when we encountered trouble with some thieves. Well located in Rotterdam since it is just a few hundred meters away from Rotterdam Blaak station for the train connection from Schiphol Airport and also from Markthal, which was a great place for the different things to eat. Close by were the Albert Heinj and the Jumbo supermarkets to buy anything else we needed. And some tourist attractions are also nearby like the Erasmus bridge, and the cobble stoned streets. It was my first time to visit the Netherlands, and if I knew how the Green Wheels system worked, I would have tried renting a car to see the other sites, and would have been great to go around because it was raining most of the time we were in Rotterdam. The rooms are quite small, but is typical of Ibis hotels. I also have to adjust when taking a shower there because it is most likely I will hit the walls of the shower stall when I need to turn around. The TV had some good programming, with CNN. But it would be also good if BBC News, or France 24 English, or NHK TV English was also available. My only other issue in the room was that the heater of the airconditioning did not seem to work as the digital thermostat would say it could only go to 22oC, but did not heat at all. The sink for our room 412 looked like to be clogged because it did not drain the water fast enough. Thanks also to Cristina who helped to comfort my wife after the trauma we experienced from some thieves who pretended to be police we encountered near the Maritime Museum. She even helped to report the incident to the authorities. Cristina was also always cheerful and greeted the guests during breakfast.
