When I checked in the safe in the room was not working. I tried calling the reception but the in room phone did not work as well. I found a housekeeping person - she told me most phones did not work and she will call reception instead. Several minutes later no one came to fix the safe. So I went down and saw the staff at the reception was busy watching social media on their phone...the shower fluctuates temperature on its now - one min you will have warm water, the other min either super cold or very hot. Lastly, when I checked out I wanted to keep my luggage but the staff member did not help me, and instead ask me to check the auto lockers - I tried it but it didnt work either. I dont think I can stay here again.

This hotel is in a great location, not far from the city centre at all. Check in and check out was very straight forward. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room is a reasonable size with amenities like hair driers and air conditioning.

The Ibis in Rotterdam is placed in a spectacular location on a resplendent canal! The reception is well layed out and designed with bars, cafe and comfortable seating! The room is fairly basic without a fridge or tea and coffee making facilities which I found challenging, but the bed was very cosy! The TV had many channels which enabled me to watch the Australian Open tennis, albeit with Dutch commentary! Overall, the experience was basic but pleasant!

Issues with electricity, sheets and room were not fully clean...

We really enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and the staff were very welcoming and lovely. It’s a brilliant location and very quiet. A few small things would’ve improved our experience. We weren’t able to open our curtains because we were overlooked by a car park, some kind of sheer curtain to let light in but give more privacy would’ve been great. It was also a little difficult to warm the room up. We were disappointed to have to pay to leave luggage at the hotel for a few hours before our journey home.
