The location of Ibis Rotterdam City Center is very good, public parking next door and a cheaper parking rate thanks to Ibis The breakfeast on the groundfloor with view on the canal and the Wilhelmina boat is very nice and gives a real city trip feeling the rooms are very quiet and the service is ok

Very convenient for people who are visiting Rotterdam but there is a need for you to work on you staff (Not enough for receiving properly guests) and we had to wait for sometime while there was ONLY one staff who was working that specific day. You need to fix this and make sure that guests should not wait for long anymore.

Hotel was fine for a budget offering - but lock things away when out of the room.

Generally the room was comfortable and the hotel is well located. I do have two concerns - Our original booking was there but the extra night I added some weeks before arrival was not. Fortunately the hotel was able to accomodate us. We were however told we had to pay for it in cash which seemed odd. Secondly - one day when we returned from our time out we noticed a book and a silk pillowcase my daughter carries with her was missing and we thought possibly both items were caught up in the gathering up of laundry. We reported both to the desk when we checked out and were assured staff would be questioned and we would be informed of the results. We have never heard another word from them.

Booked on Accor website. Although stay was fully refundable if cancelled more than 1 day before start, credit card was immediately charged. Had to change my booking from 1 to 2 nights. Impossible to do it directly on website so I cancelled the original booking (which, again, was fully cancellable) and made a new one. 3 weeks later, I am still fighting to get a refund of the original booking. Accor France call center blames hotel who blames IT system. Hell !

I’m used to Ibis hotels especially in Africa. In Europe, I mostly go the the Ibis Budget. This time I chose Ibis because I was traveling for business. I had a very unpleasant surprise to see that there were no « beauty » supplies in the bathroom. The soap tube was empty, there were no body milk or shampoo neither a small toothpaste. Even when I went to the reception, they didn’t provide any. I was hesitating for this trip in Rotterdam to go to NH Hotel as I have been there once and had a good experience. But as I’m an Accor regular customer, I choose the Ibis instead. I now know that I must avoid it in the future when I’m traveling for business. Also, as a loyal customer, I was expecting to receive at least a bottle of water but once again that didn’t happen…

Hotel is well located closed to the city centre and rooms are nice and in excellent condition. The "pasta party" at the hotel the day before the Rotterdam marathon was a great idea. Nevertheless, the check-in process was quite slow and not very warm (it gives the impression that we bother the staff). The invoice I received is not reflecting exactly the services I took (fortunately, the total amount I ended-up paying was correct!).

We always use Ibis Rotterdam Central when visiting our son, I cannot stress how happy we were to be checking in once again! The rooms were spotless as always, only disappointment we were unable to get a coffee in the morning as restaurant was unavailable.

Very sadly, because I used to love staying at this great value and centrally located hotel, it is now a shadow of its former self. I hope it’s only temporary and that this review will be out of date soon. All but one of the staff didn’t come back after the covid closure, and whole some of the new staff are great (especially the lady who welcomes you to the breakfast room), others seem bewildered, rude, or both - and there appears to be a general staff shortage. My room was not cleaned even when the “clean my room” sign was hung on the door. Breakfast was reduced in both quality and quantity - I am not an epidemiologist but there comes a point in time when “because of covid” is a nonsensical answer when asked why there is no longer any scrambled eggs.

This was my first time back to the hotel since the pandemic and the difference was really quite shocking. Almost all of the staff left and did not come back. Most of the new staff don’t know what they’re doing, they are not very friendly, and there was a general sense of chaos. When I checked in, instead of being greeted, the unsmiling person at reception just said to me “€120“. I’m sorry? Is that a way to welcome back a loyal guest? My room did not get cleaned despite the fact that I put the “please make up my room“ sign on it. My room was also very cold. One of the great things about this hotel used to be the breakfast. Using Covid as an excuse, many of the items are no longer available. I think it’s time to stop using Covid as an excuse for not having scrambled egg – it really does not make any scientific sense. On the positive side, though, the lady in control of checking people in for breakfast was friendly. The one remaining member of staff from the old days was great but she alone cannot fix all of the problems. It’s just very sad because it used to be a lovely hotel. It needs a root and branch rescue.

The check-in and room were all very nice and easy. However, the breakfast we had paid for was badly stocked. There was no juice, no fruit, no grains, granola etc., no scrambled eggs, pancakes, or anything other than some bread rolls. More people complained about it, but we could net get our money back. Considering the price we paid for a near non-existent breakfast, we were very disappointed.

Hotel is very well located and has the accomodation requirements for 3 stars. Usually, we select hotel by location, quality of breakfast and good price/quality relation. We got very surprised by the nice photos of breakfast mentioned in the site and the reality. This situation occurs in August 28th, 2021 at 8:25 a.m. Mainly, just exists one type of bread, just one packed cheese (in the Country of cheeses), one small pack of corn flakes, no boiled eggs (we ask for it and answer was "no more eggs, sorry!" and we ask for napkins and the answer was "no napkins, sorry!". We hope that this situation was an exception and not the service that Management wants to provide.

This hotel is at top location, near public transportation, shops, musea, bars, restaurants, but on a quiet street. the staff is super friendly. The rooms and hotel are very clean. check in/ out was quick and the hotel came up with a perfect sollution for not being able to have a buffet restaurant during COVID 19. I would stay here again!

We stayed as a group of four friends over three nights at this modern style hotel in the attractive Maritime Quarter of Rotterdam close to the city centre. It is close to the delightful Markthal with its tempting array of shops and food outlets. The hotel facilities are reasonable but there was an underlying sense that corners had been cut to keep down costs. We had just one towel each in our bathroom, the breakfast service was basic and at times chaotic with food shortages and a broken down self-service coffee/tea machine. The bar only seemed to be open when staff were available and was actually closed at 23.00 on a Saturday evening with a mystified queue of hotel residents forming without any information being offered about what was going on. The front desk, catering, housekeeping and bar staff were all pleasant to positively welcoming and there was a generally friendly ambiance about the place which we liked. We were offered a five euro rebate if we went without a daily room refresh - an easy offer to decline we felt! All in all, we felt the company accountants had more say over the operation than the hospitality professionals who do the valuable frontline work.
