I booked this room via company for employee. booking was not directly paid via Visa card. Unfortunately the employee has to pay this on his own creditcard. despite 2 telephone calls after booking to check if everythhing went well.. aparently not. the customer service employee confirmed me that everything is arranged and oke. Even our employee was informed, when he checked out, that the booking was confirmed via company creditcard but has to pay on his own.

This was my 2nd stay at this nice hotel. I stayed for 3 nights and had come with my car. Checking out was an issue because: 1. I did not receive any mail for online checkout. When I returned the key card, the receptioint said it is because of the new system. I asked her for an invoice for my stay. She said she will email it. This was around 0800 hrs 12 Feb 2020. There was no email and after my work was finished at Erasmus Univeristy ( 1700 hrs), i walked back to the hotel to ask about the invoice. I was asked to type my email address again. She did not bother checking the invoice was sent properly. Also she I received invoice in a totally empty email for only 1 night only. I called again (1830 hrs) and she said it is because of a new software system. Well, I finally got the full invoice with an appropriate professional email from Dyonne de Vos. This is very bad management and irresponsible attitude from her. She should have made sure the invoice was for the 3 nights i stayed and ask for colleague to help her. Her behaviour was like - its your problem and not my problem. So, Novotel is paying her for not doing her job properly and her 'don't care' attitude ? Was this an internee? 2. no receptionist had told me that there is no more free parking from 2020. ( I also did not read this information on the website). When the parking barrier did not go up, I pressed the call button. Whoever picked up (female voice) was quite rude and told me no I am not going to open the barrier. I told her that the last time I had stayed and parked in November 2019, I did not have to pay, the barrier had opened up. She SHOULD HAVE REALISED that this client did NOT KNOW about this new rule of paid parking! Instead she was very rude and told me no you have to come back inside and pay. A colleague of mine (native Dutch) was also staying in this hotel and she also checked out in the same morning of 12 Feb 2020. She told me she did not have to pay for parking for her 3 nights' stay! When she pressed the buttom ( of the parking barrier), the Novotel staff member who handled this call opened the barrier! My colleague told me the voice was friendly! Is this a case of Discrimination? My voice is English-accent Dutch as I am not native Dutch. This has made me to be dissappointed in the change management of Novotel Brainpark. Nevertheless, as I need to keep going to Erasmus Univeristy for my work, I will continue to stay at this hotel because of its strategic location - and the rooms are very comfortable.

We were welcomed by the very friendly staff at the reception desk. Before check in and after check out the storage of our baggage was solved by them. At one evening we spent a half an hour in the bar, the service was pleasant, the assortment of drink was not that big, but OK. We found the price for a breakfast a bit high, so we have eaten in the city. The room was fitting to our needs, it was good to have the small fridge, so we were able to store the milk for our son. We used the internet (WiFi) for basic browsing and it worked well. Cleanliness of the bathroom was good, but the room needed a thorough vacuum cleaning, as it was dusty all around the edges. Overall we were satisfied with the hotel.

Good but CATASTROPHIC for ecology : many little plastic bottles for shampoo, body, plastic bags for natural soap, plastic glasses with packaging : INCREDIBLE ++ THE BEST WASTE is the one we don't produce. Why all these packaging : for shower cap, glasses, ...? why not an only reffilable big bottle ? why not glass glass ?? plastic is forbidden

I stay here regularly, the staff are generally good and i feel welcome, the bar staff, Ludo and Najeeb are excellent along with Melvin. Last week i was rather dissapointed that i was told on checking in and checking out i had unpaid bills, in both cases i had to provide the proof that i had paid, this is dissapointing. This issue is a shame. I do like the hotel i must say the rooms could do with a bit more care and maybe an update.

I stood 2 nights. I took also one room apart in the first night. I always like Novotel and this time was the same. Good rooms, good service, nice restaurant, etc. The only thing that I didn't like this time was that: In one of the rooms one of the walls was dirty (like someone throw a liquid on it) and the tables had also something. In the other room -a superior one-, the bedlinen had stains of blood. I saw it late in the night so I got lazy to say to the reception but I was hoping to be able to give a feedback on this regard. Everything else was good. The staff was very friendly and warm and that is something that always makes a stay more Special. I would also like to suggest to add vegan options to the menu in the restaurant as nowadays more people are changing diets and it is always nice to find alternatives for any diet. Your menus have still just a few of vegetarian options and no vegan.

Very clean hotel, the staff is very polite and helpful. Even if I made a mistake and I reserved twice for the same period, they accept my mistake and move my second reservation for another period without any penalty. Check-in/check-out formalities are very quickly, the breakfast has a large variety of food and good coffee (kindly recommendation: please put at the coffee machines some small cups for espresso!). I was very impressed by the hotel initiative for a better environment: they offer the possibility to quit at housekeeping service and OFFER TO THEIR CUSTOMERS A VOUCHER OF 5 EUROS. In my opinion, this means they really care about environment and customers, even it is a marketing campaign, they offer something additional for free (not are satisfied just with a sticker put on the bathroom mirror, with the well-known text "Dear customer, in all of the World, laundries are using tones of detergents for...bla-bla-bla"). So, hats off for this initiative, Novotel Brainpark Rotterdam. I really appreciate this campaign and i'll choose you every time i'll be in Rotterdam/The Hague.
