I booked a double bed room but upon check in was given twin-bed room. The staff kept on justifying that double bed room means the room comes with two bed. I've to show the booking details to explain clearly about my booking entitlement. In the end, the manager admitted that the room is fully booked on that day and they decided to change my room to twin-bed. I insisted for double bed room still and after 30-40mins, I was assigned another room. Upon entry to the room, I realized it was the room that has been allocated for disabled person, with disabled toilet and etc. And the room wasn't prepared properly. Very disappointing indeed.

However the Hotel is a bit off the city centre, the Metro station is not far from the Hotel. Other than the Uni buildings, there are no high rise buildings around so the view is great. The executive room came with a daily mini bar goody bag which was superb. The breakfast options are great, there is a good variety of everything, you won't be disappointed. Dinner is good and plenty with daily specials (soup and main meal) on offer. Another good point is that if you ask your room not to be cleaned you'll get a 5 EUR voucher you can spend in the bar or in the restaurant. The staff is great and they are always available as there are enough of them around.

It was a good experience overall. I was not really satisfied with customer service though, as they gave me the wrong information about the paying method (can happen), but at the reception they were not willing to help or investigate further, so I did not feel I was treated politely or in a helpful manner.

Overall, a positive experience as hotels go. Negative facts: no washcloths, no hand soap, had to ask for hair conditioner. Tub could be slippery and quite a climb in and out, handrail in tub should be comfort height for safety. No dresser drawer to put folded clothes in. Elevators can be confusing and a tat slow. Also, some areas in room were not well dusted. Positives: cafeteria/restaurant convenient, outside terraces convenient, all assistants were helpful.

It is my second stay in this hotel. Not much has been renovated since my last stay there in 2015. The room was not that clean (the carpet was in such a condition that we decided to keep our shoes on at all times). The big problem I had this time was an incident that we had with the restaurant. We were travelling as a small group of three families. One of the families was going to arrive late. I had explicitly asked to the restaurant when was the latest time that we could place an order. When I tried to order shortly before the deadline I was informed that they would not accept my order. Trying to go to the hotel reception and asking how I can file a complaint about this - I just received a response that "We are not able to help you".

It felt like home.

It was nice and everything went smooth. Few points for improvemnt: Fridge were not working in our room, also there was a sticker of free water bottels we even asked for it at reception but receptionist explained us that we can drink from tap. (just remove a sticker or replace it with sticker stating that watre from tap is drinkable). Unfortunatley for me i went to the toilets at gruod flor on Sunday eveninng, around 20:00 and it was terrably dirty in all man's cabin, toilet papper on floor in piecec and full roles as well, sh@t evryvere...i even though of taking a pictures. I understand its visitors, but hotel could've checked it a bit more frequent. In the rest our stay were pleasant. Thank you!

this is not my first time staying in Novotel Rotterdam Brainpark, it went well in the past, but not this time. 1) during the check-in, the reception was handling somebody else, so I stayed about 1.5mt behind the previous guest. after that guest checked in, the reception lady started working on somehting else, didn't give any signal that I could move on and check in. Being polite, I waited for about 5 minutes, but the lady was still working on her own, I had to step up by myself and ask if I could check in, then the lady said yes. Obvious, she noticed I was standing there waiting, but she just kept me waiting, which was very unpolite and unprofessional. 2) during reservation, I have added specific remark that a quiet room was needed. however, the room was actually assigned, not only facing the main traffic road but also close to the elevator, you could hear the elevator works. since it was already late in the evening, I was exhaused after long driving, didn't request to change the room.

I stayed for 4 days and most everything was perfect at this hotel. The Pre-Checkin via App went well, all data were recorded correctly (it is not always that way at other hotels!) and the staff received me with a warm welcome. The parking at the hotel's parking lot was included, as well free charging for my electric car! The room at the 10th floor was nice and clean. During the whole stay all staff members were always friendly and helpful. The only point I have to deduct from a full points review is the breakfast buffet. There were plenty of items to choose from and most them were good. (Milk, yoghurt, fruit, bread, butter, marmelade, etc.) but the warm food (eggs, bacon, beans, etc.) was not really warm, only some degrees above room temperature... And - it stayed that way. Four times I had breakfast at various times, so between 7 and 8 o'clock, and always the "warm" food was only lukewarm. All those serving pots were placed on heaters, but obviously they did not work correctly. Maybe the staff should check those devices... Overall,I still do recommend this hotel for a business stay, as beside my breakfast experience everything else was perfect!

First off, the location is excellent. That is the main reason we always stay at the hotel. Near Rotterdam without being in the city. You do have to pay 10 EUR a day for parking (regardless of status). The rooms are servicable but are in serious need of renovation. The staff, however is hit or miss: - reception: + not friendly, and it had to go fast (no mention of our customary welcome drink) - bar and restaurant: + weird look if you answer that you have not reserved (even though the restaurant is near empty) + bartender seems annoyed at having to service customers + food is mediocre and pricey for what you get

Good service and quality. Perfect location not far from the centrum that can be reach via the metro 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Close to Rotterdam Eramus university. Hotel service and attention excellent.

We are a family of three and were the second time in this nice hotel. It is not only that the rooms are great and the hotel is ideally located for a trip to Rotterdam, it is the people! we stay at this hotel at least once a year (for the last 10 yrs) and it's always a pleasure to be here. + the room is really large, almost the equivalent of a SUITE NOVOTEL (w/o the kitchen area). + There's a fridge to keep things fresh during the stay. ++ The buffet-breakfast is just AMAZING. ok, we come here only to benefit from the breakfast ;-) ++ it's a walking distance from the METRO and you can be in the city center within 20'. The Park and Ride parking is free. - some rooms are getting old and would need a little renovation (paint the walls and re-carpet)
