Good value stay in convenient city location - Booked a suite for a reasonable price for hotel just a short walk down the hill to the Queen street mall and city Hall. The walk back up the hill might be a bit harder for some people but there is a free bus Number 30 which does the loop regularly that you can catch if you don't wish to do the uphill return walk. The suite we booked had a separate living area and good-sized balcony with excellent views across the park and city to the river. The living area had a couch, dining table with four chairs and an area with fridge and coffee/tea making items. The suite had been newly renovated which made it nice however there was a bit of a lack of lighting in some areas but this wasn't a huge problem for us. The bathroom was also renovated and was fairly practical however there is a bit of a leaking issue under the shower screen on top of the bath - an additional bathmat would probably resolve that. The car parking is a bit tight to negotiate for a first timer even for a smaller car but once you get to a carpark they are quite roomy. Car parking is also reasonable for a city hotel - about half the price of other nearby Accor hotels we have stayed in. The restaurant and bar have also been recently updated and we had a number of meals there during our stay. The food was good and the staff were helpful - there was live music on the Friday evening which was very pleasant. The hotel has a nice looking pool and a small gym area neither which we used during this stay however the pool would be a nice place during the summer months.
