Service was great and location perfect. Unfortunately thats where is stopped. The room including floor foyer was musty, poorly maintained. Walls need painting, carpet replacing. My room smelt and carpet was eaten by carpet beetle. Far from the standard i would expect of a Mecure charging $450 a night for a simple room.

We recently enjoyed a one-night family stay at this hotel and came away super impressed with the overall experience. The location was fantastic for attending a concert at Suncorp Stadium and perusing the Queen Street Mall. The buffet breakfast was unquestionably one of the best I've experienced. The rooms were clean and well equipped and the facilities were excellent. However, the thing which most impressed us was the exceptional service we received from each and every staff member we encountered, including reception, concierge and food and beverage staff. Everyone was warm and welcoming and a credit to their profession. Service is what sets this hotel apart from its competitors. Well done! A special shout out to Alec on reception who set the scene for a great stay. Thank you. We hope to return soon.

My check in was great; the front desk staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The room was mediocre. first impression of the room was poor to fair. The carpet was ugly with several cosmetic stains and fraying. The view from the 3rd floor was undesirable - into a neighbouring office building and the rooftop of the adjoining part of the hotel. Fortunately, the beds we clean and comfortable, the bathroom was clean and function (although the open bathtub / shower doesn't contain the shower spray very well). I was able to get a good night's sleep. Check out was easy and the staff was again very accommodating and helpful.

Overall, it was a good stay. Staff was relatively friendly overall. Only slight caveat was the fact that the bathrooms were locked for some reason on the ground floor. The other slight inconvenience was the fact that the rooftop bar was closed during the few days that I was staying.
