If staying at a well known hotel chain we usually wouldn't look up reviews and just book, exactly what we did with this. We were shocked that this hotel was under the Mecure/Accor name. Old building, long lines for reception (with no self serve), and out dated room. The biggest flaw was the towels. We had 0 towels on check in. Went to the pool and was shocked that there was no pool towels either, was told by a few people with eye rolls that the only way to get towels was to line up in the long reception line. We ended up finding the cleaning cupboard unlocked thankfully to get towels but was disgusted at the condition of the towels leaving white stuff all over our bodies and bathers. After getting several new towels same experience. Something so small yet made a huge difference to our trip and our review.

We put my soccer son's ball (a very specific and expensive one) in the concierge room and it then disappear from our belongings. We called the hotel but it was not in the concierge room anymore. Also, we booked a breakfast for the second day and the information didn't go to the restaurant. There seem to be some problem of communication between the hotel and the restaurant.
