My family stayed at Mantra Midtown Brisbane between March 13-16, 2025. On our last day the air conditioning unit stopped working in our room. We immediately contacted the front desk attendant, Benji. He verified that the issue was due to recent weather. At that point we suffered through a series of unfortunate events, including: 1. Benji attempted to move us to another room since our room was insufferably hot. Unfortunately, no other rooms were available. 2. We asked for a fan to cool the room. No fans were available. 3. We were advised to open the windows. Unfortunately, the street below us was full of St. Patrick's Day revelers all night long. This noise kept my children awake the entire night. Benji indicated that the day manager would offer us a free night given the miserable night we suffered through. 4. The next morning I spoke to the day manager, who indicated that she did not have that authority. She did indicate that she would ensure that the general manager would contact us on the subsequent day. 5. Not only did the general manager not contact us the next day, they also did not respond to our request at all. In the end, we paid for four nights, received 3 nights and had the entire last day of our trip ruined. Accordingly, I would discourage any visitor to avoid Mantra Midtown Brisbane for any alternative accommodations. I will be leaving this leaving this review on all major review platforms in the next 7 days. I expect a full refund for 1 night: I am willing to pay for the first three nights, during which I received a room with the advertised amenities. I am not willing to pay for the a fourth night when the Mantra Midtown Brisbane was unable to fulfill its contractual obligations. If I am discounted the fee for the last night, I will refrain from posting my review as I have paid for and received three nights accommodations under the advertised conditions. Regards, Joel R.
