Location was good

Neat tidy and standard accommodation. Awkwardly designed compact apartment. Only major complaint was that the Wifi was simply unusable. Despite complaining, connection regularly dropped out and speed was simply too slow for any modern device. Connection less than 2mb/s download and less than 1mb up.

Customer service was excellent. Our shower head was broken in the first room and we got moved into a new bigger room. Everything we asked for was provided. Thank you for having us.

Easy checkin, nice room. Unhappy with $200 taken from my credit account for security purposes & was not told that this was necessary as my previous nights stay in Brisbane the Apartment Complexi stayed at only took a $1 from my card & as off today my $200 pending on my card still hasn't been released. My partner who has stayed at the Mantra Midtown on numerous occasions has never had to supply $200 for security purposes so is there different rules for the person checking you in on the day.

In regards to the pre-authorisation, it does depend on what day of the week and how you book. For example, Sunday - Thursday we take a $50.00 bond for leisure guests. Friday and Saturday it is $200.00. All of Corporate / Government guests do not provide this as their payments are linked to contracted companies. On weekends we do have a higher amount of incidentals to chase, hence the higher amount. I have however left a note in your profile for you to always provide $50.00 no matter day of the week for your convenience. Smells really bad.

Room was very small, family of 5 staying here wouldn’t be suitable. Walked into a very small lounge room with a single bed in it? You had no room after that. Coming out of the lift there was a very bad smell. The rooms are small and very bad lighting. After not being able to see my family for 14 months, 3 trips cancelled due to covid and coming to Brisbane and staying here wasn’t very pleasant. We stayed for 2 nights and left early, couldn’t put up it any longer. We moved to the Hilton for our last night. I spoke to the receptionist and asked for my details to be given to the manager. No one has contacted me regarding my stay. We are Accor members as well to get this kind of service is very disappointing.

Dear Steven, Thank you for taking the time to provide your comments. I have tried contacting you on Tuesday the 16th to discuss your feedback, but it looks like you have missed my call. I would like to sincerely apologise that we did not meet your expectations after many months of cancelled trips. It is a shame that your concerns were not brought to our attention earlier as we have reception available 24hours a day to rectify any issues. We also apologise for the smell coming out of the and have since rectified this issue and put plans in place to avoid this in the future. In regards to your Accor membership, to receive benefits you must book direct through the Accor / Mantra website or reservation centres. Unfortunately we have you booking through a third party which voids your benefits and points. This does bring up a place for improvement that Front Office will require to explain this to our Loyalty guests to avoid confusion. Thank you again for taking the time to provide your comments and it is our hope we have the chance to regain your confidence in us again. We had a very relaxing time close to everything food shopping gardens. We walk to the Brisbane Botanical Garden daily and also over the good will bridge and back. Uder drivers were welcoming on pick up. We felt very safe and secure in the unit

Two weeks later and still waiting for $200 security deposit to be returned , blaming the bank but who knows. It’s ridiculous

I stayed for approximately one month for business and I enjoyed my stay. The one bedroom apartment is well sized with plenty of amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen and washer and dryer. The bed was comfortable and there was no noise audible from the busy street below to the 21st level. Staff are friendly and always happy to assist. The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to Queen St Mall and other tourist hotspots.

We had a short stay with family. Wanted to be central and within walking distance to everything. The Mantra Midtown was perfect for this. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
