Despite COVID-19 the hotel staff were friendly and professional. The room was as expected with good air conditioning, clean and with a comfortable bed.

Dear Sir/Madam I have had great stay at the hotel until this morning when I came down to the reception desk asking for assistance. The girl that was on duty- Astrid was very rude to me and reluctant to provide any help. I even felt not being respected when she made comments like-“you are lying to me” This not the type of behaviour that I would expect from any member of hotel staff. Regards

Dear Mariusz, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at Mantra Terrace thus far, and your continuous loyalty. I would like to apologizes on behalf of my team member for making feel disrespected and to clarify what she was trying to communicate to you yesterday. I have spoken to her so she can use this experience to further develop and better her guest service skill. She is a valued member of the Mantra team and always receives outstanding reviews about going above and beyond for our guests. She has though in the case missed the marked when speaking to you, so I would again like to apologize. Astrid was correct in not being able to provide additional room amenities before your weekly service, as you have booked a room rate without daily housekeeping. Due to COVID-19, upper management has enforced strict regulations on our stock so the hotel can operate as long as possible with minimal costs. We can no longer generously provide additional tea, coffee or towels on request when guests have selected a rate that does not factor in these costs. This stock is to be used for new arrival rooms and when the room is scheduled to be serviced and these amenities topped up. We have had to make tough decisions with our operations during this uncertain time to try and keep our business running as long as possible with trying to keep our losses as low as possible. I trust that you can understand the reasoning behind these decision as everyone is trying to get through this together. Both individuals and companies. I have reviewed your reservation and can see that you were given a complimentary upgrade to our Studio Suite with kitchen facilities as have booked the hotel until the 25th of May. You are more than welcome to purchase coffee from the near by Woolworth Metro if you would like to take advantage of the coffee machine in your room. Alternately, the privately owned restaurant makes beautiful coffee and can room charge this to your account when they are open Mon-Fri. If you require daily housekeeping services and a more frequent top up of amenities and linen (every 3rd day) please come and speak to me at reception to change your rate to one that includes housekeeping. I understand that not everyone wants a room that gets serviced once a week so I will be more than happy to change this to a higher rate if it would suite your needs better. I have also discussed the 'your lying to me' to comments with Astrid to further understand what had happened as it is unusual for her to receive service complaints. I fully understand that the way in which she spoken to you was unacceptable and she aims to work on this to further improve herself. This comment was in regards to your complimentary drink voucher for being a Gold loyalty member. It was found that you had used two ALL drink vouchers at OBAR and have been asking staff members for new vouchers, claiming you have lost the old one. I am disappointing that you have abused trust by claiming to have lost your original voucher in during the room move in order to get a second voucher. I am sure that you are aware that ALL loyalty members receive one voucher on arrival to use at the bar for a beverage of choice, that being non-alcoholic or alcoholic. Moving forward, you will receive a new voucher at the start of each new reservation. You will not be charged for the second voucher I had given to you last week as an apology for how you felt you were spoken to. Astrid had said that you were lying to her when you told her that you had lost your drink voucher in order to get a third voucher. I agree that she could have communicated the same message more professionally but am glad that she is looking out for the business during this time and making sure we are not being abused. I would love to discuss this and any other concerns you have further in person and will be available until 3pm today. I hope I have given you a clearer understanding of why were were unable to provide additional amenities. Hotel located close to city. Alas very few guests because of social isolation and NO tourists. Suprised there was NO room service. Told by reception price per night reflected service received. No service was available, but did give me 2 fresh towels. Restaurant downstairs doesnt recognise Accor Plus card but does offer 20% for dinners. We chose room on first floor with generous balcony. Room was clean.

Mantra is still new to Accor and with this there are still many things in the booking process that need to worked out as both companies merge and learn from each other. As mentioned at reception, Accor currently pulls the hotels cheapest rate which does not offer any housekeeping services. Fresh towel and amenities can be requested complimentary or additional housekeeping serviced purchased. I do agree with you that our members should have the option to choose which rates best suit their needs, and this is something that may change in the future. The ground floor restaurant is private business and is not owned or operated by Accor or Mantra.This is why they cannot apply Accor 20% F&B discount. Thank you again for your feedback. If OBAR is ever shut and you are unable to use your drink voucher, please don't hesitate to enjoy a drink at the Novotel, as their restaurants are not own privately and stay open longer. You can always use your voucher to enjoy a coffee in the morning if the bar was closed on departure, or hold onto them use use again on your next visit or at another Accor property. The front desk staff was able to hold our luggage for us since we arrived early and wanted to go exploring. The room was very nice and it was a great location. The only issue we had was the air conditioner was located directly above the countertop where I stored my billfold, paperwork and hearing aids. Because of the high humidity and heat, the air conditioner leaked all over the countertop and soaked everything during the night. Luckily my hearing aids weren't damaged. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Was a great price for a decent hotel. I was a bit dissapointed with the cleaniness of especially the inside of the elevator. Especially with this Corona virus going on! Location was ok. Not too far from CBD and shops.

Our floors, lift and lobby and restaurant is disinfected regularly in regards to the recent COVID-19 outbreak. Please rest assured that staff is taking all precautions to keep our public areas safe. Our decor is old and the hotel is scheduled to be fully refurbished at the end of the year. I understand that our lifts and carpets are tired and are in need of this refurbishment, but please do to be concerned that old furnishings mean we are not clean and safety conscious. I stay often at the Mantra Terrace because of its location and its pricing. Unfortunately it does not have free parking. I am now a member as I travel extensively and will stay at affiliated hotels.

I know you will climb the ranks quickly if you are frequent traveler, and we want nothing more than for you to feel at home, appreciated and well looked after at all our properties. The hotel does not have its own parking garage so must source external arrangements in the local area. We unfortunately are not in the position to provide free parking as it is not ours to give away. The rate charged, we think, still represents good value as guests have unlimited entries and exits for the 24 hour period.We appreciate that guests may wish to seek out a better deal at another car park in the local area. The hotel was well located in Brisbane CBD and had a decent bathroom. Needs some snacks and drinks in the bar fridge though.

A very pleasant stay. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The reception staff were extremely helpful during our stay and afterwards when we were looking for a lost card. Many thanks for your help in this matter. The cafe next door served a good breakfast and the staff were welcoming. Hotel may not be suitable for a person with walking difficulties as the walk from the centre is up hill. The area is very hilly.

Fantastic location. Great service. Rooms a little small and a little tired but the beds were super comfy and the showers were great as well. There was basically no noise in the hotel as well which meant we had a great nights sleep!

The noise level was a bit high with lots of banging noises , I guess from the bar and restaurant at close. Unsettled sleep due to noise.

I am sorry that we were not able to make your stay 100% as the bar noise prohibited you from a good night's sleep and the amenities in the room were not fully stocked as they should be. I have spoken to the bar regarding the noise and was advised there was a function that night so noise levels where higher than usual. They would like to pass on their apologies as well for this as they rarely have noise issues from the restaurant. I have also followed up with the housekeeping manager in regards to the tea and coffee selection in your room. We are taking steps to prevent re-occurrence of this over sight. Please know that we are a 24 hour reception and would be more than happy to assist and provide you with anything during your stay to make you more comfortable.
