Thank you for making our first stay in Brisbane a fantastic one. From the moment we stepped in to your wonderful reception area we felt welcome, looked after, respected and at home. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. The reception staff are amazing and so helpful. Breakfast is probably the best breakfast ever - the service, choice and quality of food and drinks is fabulous. The bar and bar staff were great - fun to talk to and offered amazing hospitality to a couple of Brits spending their first Christmas and New Year in Australia. There is a lovely pool area on the 3rd floor. The hotel location is also great with easy access to the train station below the hotel which is so convenient for visiting surrounding areas but also getting back to the airport, just brilliant. We really can't wait to return. Thank you Sofitel.

My first impression of the hotel was the amazing greeting from the man (I neglected to get his name) who checked me in last Sunday. I was able to check in a little early, and I had a great view of the city from the 24th floor. Louise at the reception desk was also wonderful and very helpful. The only staff member I encountered who was not friendly and accommodating was the woman with a ponytail managing the breakfast seating at 6:30 am. Two mornings my requests to sit in a particular area of the restaurant were ignored even though I arrived shortly after they opened at 6:30 am. It wasn’t until the 3rd day of my stay (Wednesday, Jan 7), when this staffer was not working, that I was seated in the bright room with a view that I had requested the previous 2 days (when seats were available). The bartenders were also very pleasant.

We stayed 10 days and the services offered were excellent. The room service was not as good as I have experienced in the past.

Excellent, overall. The room was comfortable, is a little dated. Staff and amenities were all good. The restaurant was excellent. Possibly my only complaint was that the in-room dining menu, listed on the in-house system through the TV, included several items that did not appear on the third-party ordering website. This was annoying and seems like it would be a simple thing to sort out, especially for a higher-end property.

Other Sofitel in Australia may be newer and better deco. Staff here show good positive vibe, great service as always in Sofitel standard. Canapés session in the Club was our highlight of the trip.
