From the moment we arrived, Hotel Maison Hamelin impressed us with its warm, friendly greetings. The tasteful design of hotel and it's rooms, high-quality amenities, and comfortable bedding set a luxurious tone. The highlight, however, was the breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower from our room's balcony – simply stunning! The hotel's location is also excellent, easily accessible and within walking distance of many attractions. The hotel has a wonderful, family-run feel. Many staff members wear multiple hats, seamlessly transitioning between pantry duties, housekeeping, and the front desk. This dedication is clearly fostered by General Manager Mr. Michael Rousseau, whose hands-on approach and professionalism left a very positive impression. His commendable efforts in service recovery were particularly evident during a stressful situation created by the duty manager during the check-out process. Mr. Rousseau's swift and efficient resolution prevented a significant problem. While some staff members could benefit from additional training in empathy, flexibility, and understanding guest entitlements (like the daily complimentary water supply), this was a minor drawback in an otherwise exceptional stay. Overall, Hotel Maison Hamelin provided a truly pleasant experience. We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again on our next trip to Paris. (Note to Mr. Rousseau: I believe your duty manager's behavior does not represent your team and hotel. I must say that everyone else I encountered was lovely and professional. However, I must bring this duty manager's conduct to your attention. He was arrogant and lacked empathy toward guests' situations. He was irresponsible and demonstrated a lack of understanding regarding the potential damage his actions could cause the hotel by failing to honor a promised service. He also falsely claimed he could not reach you when I requested to speak with higher management. Not all guests are as fortunate as I was to have your assistant intervene at the right time and bring the matter to your attention. After all, consistent, high-quality customer service relies on a unified team working in the same direction.)
