The only positive about this hotel is its location, right in front of the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately, that’s where the good part ends. From the moment we arrived, the experience was disappointing. The check-in and welcome process were poorly handled. As an Accor Gold member, this has been my worst experience so far. There was no sense of hospitality or acknowledgment. The staff member at the check-in counter, Rosy (if I recall correctly), came across as superficially polite but actually quite rude. It genuinely made us consider cancelling our stay and moving elsewhere. I was travelling with my wife and my 2-year-old daughter, which made this even more frustrating. Room service was extremely slow and inefficient. Even basic requests like a dental kit took one to two hours. The same delay applied to everything, including drinking water refills and ice cubes. On top of that, these basic requests came with excessive service charges (over 22 euros), which is unacceptable given the delay in delivery. What was most concerning was how baby milk was handled. Not only is it chargeable, but this is not communicated while placing the order. Instead, it arrives after a long delay along with a bill to sign. For a hotel claiming to be 5-star, essentials like baby milk should be treated as a priority service, not a delayed, chargeable add-on. This reflects a serious lack of sensitivity and understanding. Calling room service was another challenge. Calls often went unanswered and had to be made multiple times before someone responded. What left a particularly bad impression was the apparent difference in how guests were treated. There was a noticeable lack of assistance with luggage when we arrived, while other guests (especially European or American) seemed to receive prompt help. When all guests are paying the same premium rates, such behavior feels discriminatory and unacceptable. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in the last 30 years of travel. The management seriously needs to review their service standards and staff training. The location alone cannot justify such poor hospitality.
