We had the room at the street corner, over the lobby. The room was unbelievably quiet! No road noise at all! The room was large and laid out perfectly so both of us could get ready at the same time. Breakfast was very good with an excellent variety. The staff is extremely nice and helpful!

I stayed at Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe for ten nights, from August 2 to August 12, at a total cost exceeding €7,000. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect the standards one would reasonably expect from a five-star hotel. In France, a five-star classification is associated with exceptional levels of comfort, high-quality facilities, personalized service, outstanding attention to detail, and a seamless guest experience. Regrettably, the reality was far removed from these expectations. While I found the staff to be courteous, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help, their professionalism alone could not compensate for the numerous shortcomings encountered throughout my stay. The room was considerably smaller than portrayed in the hotel's promotional photographs and offered insufficient storage space, making a ten-night stay particularly inconvenient. The dining experience was equally disappointing. The restaurant lacked atmosphere and closed at 10:00 p.m., which seems unusually early for a luxury hotel in one of the world's leading tourist destinations. Room service was limited, particularly for guests arriving late at night, and the porter service fell well below the standards expected of an establishment positioning itself within the luxury segment. Several technical issues further affected the quality of the stay. The room telephone was outdated and malfunctioning, functioning only on speaker mode. The air-conditioning system was unreliable during a period of exceptionally high temperatures. In addition, the bottle of champagne provided in the minibar was corked and undrinkable. Individually, these issues might have been considered minor inconveniences; collectively, they reflected a concerning lack of attention to quality control. The most serious incident, however, was the theft of USD 500 from my room. Such an occurrence is unacceptable in any hotel and particularly troubling in a property that promotes itself as a luxury destination. This incident significantly undermined my confidence in the security standards of the hotel. To conclude an already disappointing stay, they failed to arrange the taxi reservation that had been requested for our departure the day before. At 6:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning, we discovered that no transportation had been booked. Fortunately, the reception team responded promptly and professionally, managing to secure a van at very short notice. Although the hotel benefits from an excellent location near the Champs-Élysées and employs courteous staff, these strengths do not justify the rates charged. For more than €700 per night, guests are entitled to expect a consistently high standard of service and comfort. In my experience, the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe failed to deliver on the promises associated with its five-star status. Overall, the value for money was extremely poor, and I would not recommend this property to travelers seeking a genuine luxury hotel experience in Paris. ⭐☆☆☆☆

First and foremost, I’d like to highlight the service of the Sofitel Paris Arc De Triomphe. It is indeed the genuine definition of hospitality. The reception and concierge staff were attentive and proactive. Special shoutout to Hector and Fany, who were so accommodating and helpful. In terms of facilities, every corner is well-maintained and clean. The property is, of course, finished in French architecture. I stayed in their luxury suite called “Prestige Suite.” It is spacious and comfy beds, and also love the big window with a view of Parisian buildings and streets. The breakfast buffet was not the best one but was fine. Nevertheless, everyone was so welcoming; I literally felt the quotation, “Home away from home,” at this property. So definitely, I’ll recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

The employees are all very kind and attentive. The food was very good but the breakfast menu is only à la carte if you go downstairs. If you order room service you can only order the combinations THEY chose so I didn’t order it the second day because I couldn’t get what I wanted. The mattress was horrible and should have been replaced long ago. It is sagging in several places so no matter how I tried to get comfortable you just end up falling into the sagging spots. The fridge was turned off when I arrived and it’s not clear how to turn it on, so someone had to do it for me.
